I hope that the hurricane will end soon and pray for the folks involved.  It must cause terrible worry for all concerned.

Oh Mieka, even when you leave, I will continue to pray for you and that God will grant your wish to return to America.  No matter where you live, your happy spirit will bring blessings.  You will continue to soar like an eagle Mieka.

I received an email newsletter from a Cdn. Sr. Site that ended with a quote from Kalil Gibran, the so-called Prophet who was so popular in the 70's  (died 1931) and is still influencing many.  It read:

"Wisdom ceases to be wisdom when it becomes too proud to weep, too grave to laugh, and too selfish to seek other than itself."

True enough....what always amazes me is how the 'Prophets' take their messages from the Bible, simply changing things enough to claim them as their own!  They can steal the words but will never duplicate the spirit and the message always has a hollow ring...

Hi everyone.

Meika, I too will miss you and hope that you will be able to find some time to post while you are in China.

The rain has just started here, a sign that the storm is indeed on its way.

I booked off sick this afternoon and tomorrow as I'm battling a cold and just did not feel well enough to stay at work.  Perhaps it will be a good thing that I am at home during this storm.

Jeanne, I'm glad to hear that your son-in-law survived so well.  I pray that the rest of us affected will do as well.
