Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

PAT~John (Turbotech) posted a prayer request this morning ... "Eye of the storm"
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Thank you both, Pat and Bernard, for giving me an explanation.

I looked again for the advertisement and could no longer find it, it gives evidence to what you've said Bernard, the site is "word sensitive" and monitored by Google. The objection alone seems to have been enough to bring about a change, the ad is gone and not any the sooner.

Chris saw it bannering on top of NEM as well as I did and since it is no longer to be found here, went through Google to gain access to it tonight, independent of this here site.  There it should be accessable to any who have doubts about it's appropriateness,  just by asking for it's given description it can be obtained there.  I will not give it space here again, but Soni, to address your thoughts , neither would I give space here to Barbie or an action figure.

To avoid being associated with things that are suspect to what we believe and to having the responsibility to monitor such matter, maybe we could explore another avenue of covering the cost of this site.......just a thought.....but then, maybe I've given out more of those (thoughts) than are welcome.

In all, may God be exalted and glorified and His love shown.

Thank you again, God bless.

Margit

Hey all,

I just got back about an hour ago from my first day of school (I had driver's ed afterwards). School is gonna be tough. That it in a nutshell. I'm looking forward to the rest of the year. I might finally be able to apply my photographic skills as our small school (only about 250 in the secondary total) is planning on starting a school newspaper. I also like to write, so I might have a whack at that too. Unfortunately I don't have Bible this semester. The teacher is great. He has debated all over the country, graduated from Liberty university and has a doctorate in a whole bunch of different things. He's also extremely funny. To the school he's simply known as 'Doc.' Anyhow, I'll stop rambling  :) for now. Time to do homework!

Janet

I'd better hurry and say hello before the door is locked!  I have been very busy today.  Darrel and I and Lance (nephew) went over to Beth's and moved her from one end of the trailer to the other.  Now she doesn't have the long, narrow hallway to negotiate to her bedroom.  We cleared out a closet full of boxes and put a big chest of drawers in it, threw away a lot of junk (with her permission, of course) moved her bed, and I washed her sheets, hung them out on the line because the dryer turns the place into an oven, did another load of laundry for her, and moved her dining table into the living room so we could move Ruffles (her cockatoo) back to her house.  Now Ruffles' cage is in front of her dining room window, and I don't have to listen to her squawking every time she sees me!

I also did a couple loads of our own laundry and other mundane stuff.  But I want to get Beth set up so she can get out of her house if she needs to, before we leave on our trip on the 18th.

Sorry to talk so much about all this; just explaining my absence today.  Oh, yes, I also went to the care home to see about Mom.  She had gauze around her head like a turban and was to go back to the doctor again today.  She said they will have to do some skin grafting on her forehead.  They didn't keep her in the hospital last night, but brought her back to the care home once they got the bleeding stopped.

I won't attempt to address everyone tonight, but will try to get back on track again tomorrow.  I do want to tell Luke that I'm proud of him for working on getting his Eagle Scout award.  I have two grandsons who are Eagles, and I know it takes a lot of work, and a lot of support from your family, too.  God bless you.

Pat, I hope you are back to your own sweet self and feeling really good by tomorrow!  ;) :-*

I am very interested in the Republican Convention.   Apparently Laura Bush gave a good speech. Classy lady!

I am reading the posts and will get back soon.

There is a terrible hurricane coming to the Florida area again.  Apparently this one is bigger than the last.  Pray for Florida.

Janet,
you certainly are a busy person.   I feel worn out just reading your posts.  Hope Beth is okay and hasn't hurt herself.  Praying for her.   God bless

I sure hope Beth is okay.  Hang in there, Janet!

I came back to say that Beth cut the inside of her elbow, nasty gash about 2 1/2 inches long, but it doesn't appear deep enough to require stitches.  I bandaged her up and will check on it again in the morning.  I couldn't figure out what she cut it on..........and she had a really hard time getting up.  We need to get her panic button installed so she can get hold of me from wherever she is and not have to crawl to the phone.  Guess that is next on the list.  Anyway, I think she's okay for tonight.  Thanks, Nards.

Zell Miller gave quite a speech tonight, huh?  ;D

I'm headed for bed now, I'm wiped out!

God bless you dear Janet.  You have such a full plate right now.  I'm so concerned about our Beth.  Take care and sleep well.

Luke, Janet has some lovely photos of her last grandson who became an Eagle.  I'll get you the link.
