Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Ok now these are coming our small, however if you click on them, they become larger.  Up at the top right hand corner of your computer there are 3 dots.  Click on the dots, and increase the size so you can see the print better.  Click on Zoom or Magnifier,  and increase to the size that makes reading easier.

This has been a BIG learning curve for me!

OK have fun with that.  Enlarge as I showed above, perhaps give a neighbour or love one a special hand made card!

JudyB

Marilyn I am sorry that I couldn't enlarge here for you to see better. I will try with the next one.

Judy...
... thank you for leading me to this site..." Focus on the Family " i will take a look at what it offers...Baring in mind that not everybody has a family or if they did once, maybe none left now, they have all passed over to our " ready waiting for us,  in our new world, with our loved ones waiting for our arrival. "

Edited: reading one of the devotionals..." Fix your eyes on Jesus " yes i will-i am, 100% on Jesus and our God...

Yesterday, we had a phone call from our oldest son - his son, our grandson was driving from Ft. Worth, Texas to his home in Colorado.  At an access ramp near Amarillo he suddenly hit ice and the truck rolled over.  He is badly injured with many broken bones.  As grandparents, we are sick with grief of his life-changing injuries and grateful he is alive.  This will take a very long time to heal.  We don't know how long before he can even leave the hospital or if he can stand a drive in a car I called one friend and she put all of us on the prayer list - how sweet are our neighbors and friends. Because of the evil virus - we cannot go to visit -

Take care everyone.

Carol...
...so sad this virus is separating loved ones from loved ones at a time when they are needed...just not right...Prayers for your grandson...

I think it has been five days now and he was helped to sit up in bed and able to hold himself up for a short time.  That is all - he was too exhausted to try it twice.  This is a young man who eats right foods and exercises.

We give thanks for all the prayers.

Here, I must get to thinking about Christmas gifts - Homemade fudge sauce for some and maybe fruit cake (it is the one that mom made).  We are fortunate that we can still take walks after the first snowfall.  Now, the temperature is too high - it is certainly crazy for this time of the year.

Judy:  I need to download your patterns and we happen to have card stock because Don makes all our cards  - he enjoys sending personal cards.  My good friends keep his cards.

Jackie:  Thank you!  We do feel peaceful after a day of anxious moments.

What is everyone fixing for Christmas?

Carol I am so sorry to hear about your grandson's accident.  It is good that he is alive, rollovers are so dangerous.  I am praying

We have had a major snow storm going on here.  We had to take our son's ruck to a service station for him, he needed work done that he didn't have the ability or garage lifts to do it with.  He is really handy, doing nearly all his own mechanical work. The garage gave us a courtesy vehicle.  We did that and had one other stop then home.  Low and behold we got stuck on the final stretch home.  We are dealing with about 2 or more feet of snow, and the road to our house has not been plowed since 8 this morning.  So him and our son in law Jon have gone with the snow blower to try and get the car unstuck, and up to our driveway.  Where it is the plow won't be able to get around the car and we will be stuck if the bus run is a go in the morning! It is still snowing, blowing and is to continue through the night!

I realize I am a day behind.  I will post 2 tomorrow..

Have a good evening everyone[/size]

Now the update on the car!  The tow truck we requested, COULDN"T MAKE IT TO US!!!  He got stuck on the main road to our small road.  He was very apologetic that he couldn't help.  The plows didn't get out till after 8 this morning!  That is over 24 hours with snow and blowing snow with no relief!  John is calling the snow plow again now that the road is a little more passable.

Today is a beautiful sunny day, cold and we expect wind.  A wonderful day for taking pictures!  Not sure we will venture out though!

Have a great day folks, tell us about your weather horrors.

Judy:  Thank you and all for prayers.  Grandson is in a lot of pain - I am not sure he can make the drive to Colorado tomorrow.

Judy - after living in Minnesota for years - I understand these storms.  Uffda as the Swedes say!
It is wonderful news that you were able to get home safely.

Once, I had the youngest child in the car and realized I was driving in the wrong direction - Praying fervently, I found a place to turn around and get back to our country house.  The school buses even had problems in that storm.  I believe about 90 people lost their lives in that storm.

A friend's husband died yesterday after many years of home care.  He was a retired minister and for years had to have soups very soft food.  I just love to make soups and we cannot eat it all so it was always so much fun to bring their supper.  He had difficulty talking too - imagine how that would be for a former pastor.  Now he is in heaven.

Take care all.

Marilyn

Sorry to hear about your  snow problem Judy.

Carol I love to make and eat soups as well.

It's 1035 I'm heading to bed... Sweet dreams everyone!

Carol

Everyone is awake now!  I am sipping hot water - no more coffee but I can have a decaf tea.  Our grandson who was injured was scheduled to leave the hospital today - from what we heard of his pain level yesterday there should be no way he could be released.

It is time for me to get to work here & not dwell on things I cannot change.  Stay safe everyone.

JudyB

Carol They release people as soon as they can, even though we don't feel it's a good idea.  Operations are out the next day, and heart surgery may be one day in..... The theory is that people heal faster that way.  In their own environment they are up and around faster.

The roads are clear!  Praise God for the men and women out there plowing in dangerous conditions.  On my run this morning there was one semi in the middle median that has been there since Tuesday night.  Windows are gone, its lying on its side.  Crews haven't got to it yet.  Probably this afternoon.

We need to be praying for family members who don't know Jesus as LORD.  We have 9 or 10.  Direct family know the truth however they prefer the world.  It is so sad to watch this. As Heather says Mom just keep praying.

That's all folks, much to do to prepare for our family Christmas on the 12th.

With our ongoing Covid, our hospitals are needing the beds..so as soon as they can release a non-Covid patient, they will do so....
