JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

  •   Prayer and Praise     Thanks for visiting this area of our site to share prayer requests and items for praise!

From Chris Saunders

"Jesus said, if I honour myself my honour is false, it is My Father that honours Me, of Whom you say He is your God. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad, The Jews replied, you are not even fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham? Jesus replied.. before Abraham was, I AM..
Then they took up stones to kill Him, but Jesus left the temple going through the midst of them."
.
Self praise is no recommendation. Jesus sought the  praise of God His Father. And always had it. His last run in with the leaders before He leaves the temple is like the one in the old testament.. Ezekiel 10..Ichabod..the glory is departed.. He cannot convince them that He is the Christ, their Messiah, His words to them are powerful, telling them that He was before Abraham, in a subtle way saying that He has always existed, and in fact is God, One in Being with the Father.
This to them is blasphemy for they, with their blinkered eyes and sinful hearts and deaf ears see only a man.
We today find this hard to believe, but we are redeemed, they were not, we are looking back to our old sinful life, they are still living in theirs, and they are absolutely filled with hatred for the Saviour. Once again they want to kill Him, but His time has not come, for He must be the Passover Lamb, and so, supernaturally He walks right through the midst of them, no one can touch Him. Thank God that you know the Truth and the Truth has set you free!
And remember what Stephen said in Acts ch.7.v. 48,  God does not dwell in temples made with hands but in His true children

I have been sending out my daily verses. Today's was Isaiah 43:2,  When you pass through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when you walk through the fire, you shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you.

I pick the verses the night before I post them.  This morning I was (within my spirit) singing Great Is Thy Faithfulness, Being masked on the bus, I can sing.  Only God heard me.
No masking has been removed from the mandates. I continue to wear mine, as a precaution.  I haven't been sick with the flu or cold in over 2 years.

I hope that verse and hymn blesses you as much as it has blessed me today!

Wow! Really great words for the week/month. Thank you for taking the time to post it, Judy! How is everyone doing? Anything new going on in everyone's parts of the world? We are freezing then warm then freezing again, but the trees/flowers are beautiful! John and I have been busy working on a photo job we just completed (maternity then the newborn photos). Now that's done, we'll get back to our regular routine. Hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying spring! Praying for you all!

Carol I too just saw the news about Don. I am so sorry.  I honestly don't know what to say, words at times seem so inadequate.  I am praying for you and yours.

This may help as you grieve

I found it helpful.
John and I were at a family funeral on Friday.  Carol died on the 11th of January and between winter cold and covid the funeral was delayed.  I was struck by the fact that we as a Boneschansker Family seem to only see each other at funerals.  That is in some ways a sad fact of life.  It used to be weddings and baby showers....

John is on his way back from LA, he will be into home base by Thursday evening, only to turn around and head out again.  One more turn around and home for a few days. I will be glad when this season of life is done and he stays home again.

I still drive school bus... I really enjoy the kids. For the most part they are well behaved and that makes the drive less than 'Just a job'.  Sleep has been elusive, so I am off to take my meds and to dreamland.  Have a good night and day ahead!

Carol this may be a comfort.

From Chris·
"Thy brother shall rise again.. Martha said, I know he shall rise again in the resurrection on the last day.
Jesus said to her..I am the resurrection and the Life , he that believed in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." John 11.
.
He that believes, what does it mean to believe..churchianity doesn't do it, good works, living well, have nothing to do with believing to salvation. Jesus is speaking about people like His eleven disciples, who heard the call and were transformed by meeting Him, who believe that He is the Messiah, the only begotten Son of God, they now follow Him through thick and thin, is this you? Are you following Him not for what He might do for you but because you love Him because of what He HAS done for you, in forgiving your sins, and giving you a new start. The disciples, the eleven are sold out to Him, He is their Way, their Truth, and absolutely their Life.
They go everywhere with Him, seeing all He does, hearing all He teaches, learning always, going without, relying on handouts, charity, having given up all to follow Him, believing that He will raise them up on the last day, just as Martha believes, and just about to witness an amazing miracle. Never be afraid to trust the Saviour, He may yet surprise you with a miracle, and if He doesn't, well His love for you will fill your heart and make you sing.

Chris Saunders

"Truly, truly,  I say to you except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone, but if it die it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it, but he that hates his life in this world, shall keep it unto Eternal Life." John 12.
Jesus now begins to speak of His departure from the people and from this world, you can almost hear the relief in His voice..He just needs to go through the mockery of a trial and a dreadful, painful death, then Heaven awaits, our Lord is about to spend time with His disciples, teaching and encouraging them in these few last days. We too are living in the last days at the end of time, the terrible times in which we live should cause us to rely more and more upon Jesus and His teaching.
We need to enter in to His Presence and receive His teaching just like His first disciples. Then this world will attract us no more.

Janet

Maybe I need to introduce myself,, It'a been so long since I posted.  I'm truly sorry, will try to stay in contact better.

Life here at the Damon household is fairly normal (whatever that is!)  We are still both in good health and able to go about our normal activities.  I'm really not able to do the heavy cleaning anymore, so am looking for that kind of help.  Hope I find someone soon!

Carol, I hope you are coping with your great loss, I know it must be so hard, and I'm praying you feel the comfort of God's nearness every day, and the closeness of family, which is such a comfort, too.

I'm having memory problems; going to get some Prevagen and hope that will help.  This growing old is surely not for sissies!

We have really missed traveling like we used to do; trying to find trips we can take that do not require "the jab".  Neither of us is willing to have untested, unknown substances injected into our bodies.  We are going on a bus trip to Jacksonville, Florida in September with our traveling friends from Hugoton.  Looking forward to that.  Our granddaughter Abby is there, so we will get to see her and meet her fiance' Wade. Her Brother Mark is also close, so will get to see him and Tiffany and meet their foster kids, two boys, 2 years old and three months old. (Sorry, TMI)    :D  :-[

Hi Janet! I was really glad to read your post and "meet" you. I'm sorry for some of the issues like memory and not being able to travel or clean. I pray the medication will help or else that the doctors will be able to target what to do. Also, I pray the Lord will provide the help you need with cleaning (and bless you with a relationship beyond just the cleaning), and that He will replace that decrease in travel in some other way. I hope you really enjoy your trip to Florida and getting the chance to see your grandkids. Hope you're enjoying your summer in your part of the world!

Your Friend,
Jenny

Thanks so much, Jenny!  Life is interesting in each of its stages.....We just need to stay flexible and willing to 'roll with the punches' I guess.
