Well my day just gets better...NOT...
Richard forgot to ask for, or I forgot to hand him my debit card, as this is the day he transfers money into my bank account...so he phoned me to relay my card details to him, over the phone, he out and about in a public place, me indoors with the machine digging racket outside my window...so I have no Idea who maybe picking up my details as both myself and Richard were shouting, with Richard not hearing numbers correctly, and me having to repeat them, louder..so much for security...He needs to hand over my card to the bank cashier - teller,  to put the money in...my card number with its expiry date...

What next is in store for me today? ::)

Oh almost forgot...I wont be able to get to Church this Sunday...due to our annual IRONMAN  triathlon running through our main road and toward our sea town areas...all roads will be closed off, we have the roads route-planner planner...

Oh almost forgot...I wont be able to get to Church this Sunday...due to our annual IRONMAN  triathlon running through our main road and toward our sea town areas...all roads will be closed off, we have the triathlon route-planner...

And now of course Richard has come back, all is now silent outside, ( isn't he the lucky one? ) the road outside and our end of drive is a mess,  (I wouldnt be able to get my rollator over it but, ) either they are on their lunch break or they have finished for the day, the machinery of course is still outside...I am just glad I have another means of getting out, from the back, to the concrete steps leading to the car..as we have our nights entertainment tonight, the follow up to last weeks fish and chip supper, only tonight I think it will be the challenge game of " Pointless..." not sure what that entails...something to do with giving factual correct answers but the least known answers scoring the higher points...this game is on our tv but not a game I watch on a regular basis....

Hi everyone. It is a beautiful sunny morning and we are headed up into the high 80's this afternoon.  The main activity for today is to do some grocery shopping at Costco and perhaps Aldi's, although Aldi's may wait until tomorrow.  I did go to coffee and the Wisdom Group yesterday but was so tired when I got home that I skipped lunch and laid down and rested.  Last evening the weariness seemed to leave and I am feeling good this morning.

Janet, don't you think it is giving Beth some joy to know you and Darrel can get away for a few days and not have to cancel your long planned trip.

Carol, in watching the weather in the Denver area over a number of years it seems you can have great variations with it being snowy one day and up well above freezing the next.  I guess that is the joy of being close to those beautiful mountains.  I guess you and Don are probably thinking a lot about returning to Arizona for the winter before long.

Jackie, I hope the workmen found what they were looking for and didn't have to dig all morning.  I am surprised they aren't able to use a detecting device to locate the pipe like the utility companies do here in the USA.  I see they are tearing up your road which will mean more work near your property as they ultimately repair it.  I hope there is no problem with your debit card numbers by having to give them over the phone.  To bad you won't be able to attend church.  I notice that often the races hear start early and are over before Church time. I have never heard of that game you mentioned.  I hope you have a good time.

Once again our today tv news has not been good, re, the London tube train terrorist bomb explosion...why must people think life's purpose is to upturn everyone else's daily commuting life...

Larry Hanna...
...not too sure who has authorised this work as our parkhome site is on private land, I am assuming our parkhome site owner, who I have yet to ever see or meet, as he lives off site, but, probably our Parkhome site resident manager gave the go ahead, yet no previous warnings had been given of this work to be undertaken...it is still going on, but been quieter, think they are now clearing up...

...Larry you are wise to listen to your body, and act on what your body is telling you...

Apologies for my multiple posts of today...

:coffee:  It is a beautiful morning "Oh, what a beautiful morning"... and so forth.  We slept well and I have put in a treadmill time.  The radio station had an interesting author of Martin Luther stories - a history lesson while on the old treadmill was the start to my day.  I hope to work on finishing a quilt and yet to decide the size.  Now, it is about a twin-plus size.

Grateful for:  Don didn't cough last night.

Jackie:  Sorry for the terror attack - it has to be troubling for your countrymen.  Our g-daughter wants to take a semester at the school of Economics (like her mother did as a student).

Larry:  Don loves to go to Arizona.  He feels so much better there in lower altitude. Here, we both love being near three of the children and the 4th one is always on a plane - every week so it is rare to see him.  We saw an Aldi store in Minnesota and after talking to a cousin, we really hope they build some in this area.

Carol...
...that seems to be in the heart of London ( The London School of Economics, )...We cant allow these terrorists to frighten us not to take London Transport or to venture into London, as I remember once being so so near to an IRA bomb at Oxford Street tube station..I had been oblivious to the street commotions of busses and taxis turning round, bomb squad cars, police sirens and ambulances as I was underground opposite in Top Shop, only when I had taken the shop escalator to the street was I aware of what was going on, sheer mayhem...I was there as it came live, on our 6.pm tv news...The police ushered me up to Bond Street where I took the tube which did not stop at Oxford Circus but carried on to Tottenham Court Road, where I got off and changed over to another tube train, as the train sped through, I prayed, " if there is a bomb, please dont go off yet " at that time I had no Idea as to whether the bomb was live or a bomb hoax...

13 February 1976: A 30-pound (14 kg) bomb was found in a small case at Oxford Circus station and was defused...

Oh my, Jackie!  Seems a lot is happening in your world today!  Earlier, when I read your first post, I was about to ask if you had some head phones and could listen to music,
to drown out the noise, but then the next post said they had stopped the digging.  So sorry about yet another terrorist attack in London.  Terrible!  And yet there are so many people here who just want to allow anybody to come into our country!  If we do, soon we will be being attacked weekly!  I am all for border security!

Beth seems to be almost back to her "usual" for Beth, though she is still very weak.  I feel confident she will be all right while we are away.  Thank God for her courage and determination!

Larry, good to read you're feeling better!  I am, too.  Stretching exercises, plus a chiropractic adjustment plus an ice pack on my neck plus a good night's sleep and I'm feeling like myself again!
God is so good!

Carol, are you going to spend the winter in Arizona again?

Time to think about lunch!

Hi everyone. It is another clear and sunny day up this way and we will probably get to 90 degrees this afternoon although we are starting the day in the 60's.  This morning I plan on attending a meeting and then stopping at Aldi's to get a few items.  Later this afternoon and evening I will watch some college football.  Yesterday afternoon Jennifer came over and had dinner with us and  spent the evening.  She played a game called Farkle with her grandmother.

Jackie, they had the London bombing on the evening news here.  It is terrible that people want to hurt and kill people they have never seen before.  You certainly had a close call with the IRA bombing.  Where I live our streets are owned by the city or the county or are State roads.  The only roads owned by the Federal Government are on public lands.  I hope they have finished up the work outside your home.

Carol,  this next Thursday we have another chain like the Aldi's opening here in North Augusta.  It is Lidl's and is a German owned chain.  They opened two other stores in Augusta two days ago.

Janet, glad that Beth is back to usual and hope she can maintain that for a long time.  Nice to see you are feeling like yourself again so you will be able to enjoy your trip.

I just watched this short video made from one of Paul Harvey's commentaries and felt it was worth sharing as he hits the nail right on the head.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3Az0okaHig&feature=player_embedded

...seems like the work is finished, they have now moved down to the bottom, guess again, they never found what they were looking for...

Re, yesterdays train bomb incident, I haven't caught up with today's news, so not sure whether he-she has been found-caught yet...I sure hope so...although if the information on my computer screen page is correct, they have arrested an 18 year old male...

Larry, not heard of that game of " Farkle " but I do have on order a VERY " expensive " game of Scrabble that should be here very soon...I decided on this particular one as the one I recently bought was cheap and flimsy and the pieces keep sliding off...more hassle than it is worth...
Richard thinks I have flipped  :idiot: but, I told him..." I know what I am doing..."  after he found out how much it is costing him...well it is leather...and should last our lifetime...however long that may be...

( Scrabble - Luxury edition (English) )

We both enjoyed ourselves last night...we never played for prizes, of course our group of three never won but we never embarrassed ourselves either, not too sure where we came, we didn't come last...our evening ended with a couple of our senior gatherings volunteers making teas, coffees and bringing some plates of mixed biscuits in...Before the quiz game was started, one lady who like me uses a rollator ( Arthritis ) was our host with the questions and answers, but first she gave out notices, such as a couple of our usual team are in hospital and send their wishes to us, although we personally dont know these members...

Janet: Have a pleasant trip and enjoy the peace of knowing who is really in control.  We will come home for at least one of the holidays - to answer your question.

It is a really Fall day here and the house is chilly.  I am in my usual flannel shirt for this time of the year.  I have a call in for our neighbor and something is amiss - will check on her later.  Her DIL is staying the next two weeks while our friend recuperates from hand surgery - while her husband is in care at a nursing center.  Some people have tremendous loads - just as many in here have as well.

Don is working on getting electronic stuff fixed.  There is smoke from Montana - huge fires as well as a report that another area in Montana is having a 2-month early snowfall.   :coffee:

Has anyone heard from Big Sky Ken?  Is he alright?

Jackie:  Your note of an evening of visiting and Scrabble is so nice - good to have friends.  Glad that there was an arrest -

Hi, ladies,

I had no difficulty getting in to read and post tonight.

Sorry the others haven't been able to come here today.

I'm grateful I'm moving around and sister in law still seems to be doing fine.

Y'all have a good rest of the day.

Love to all,

Good evening, Ruth Ann!  I'm glad to see a post from you.  Maybe whatever the glitch was has been fixed and we'll get some news from other people now.

Glad to see you're still "moving around" and your sister-in-law is coming along.

I am here, no problems-glitches, yesterday, just nothing in particular to report in about...

Jeanne Lee...
... how did you get on with your Scan, I remember your next one is-was due September or has that not taken place yet?

My guess is Larry Hanna's post slipped his mind as I noticed he had made a brief posting on S & Fs yesterday, so I know he is ok...I was concerned with no posting from him in here, which for Larry, is unusual..

Pat-Ruth Ann...

Oh no not again, just heard some outside noise and peeped through our kitchen blinds, the road digger is back outside our front of home and the time is just touching 8.20am..the last few days it was happily sitting somewhere down the bottom of our parkhome slope..

Hi everyone. It is another beautiful morning with no chance of rain today.  We are to get only into the mid-80's.  My calendar is clear for today.  We may go to the shoe store so Pat can get a new pair of shoes.

I did go to Sunday School and Church yesterday but didn't bring home lunch as Pat said it hadn't been very long since she had breakfast and I knew we had plenty here to make a sandwich. Last evening we did go to the Dairy Queen and had our meal out for Sunday. I watched very little football and no golf yesterday as just wasn't in the mood.  I guess it just wasn't a sports weekend for me.

Jeanne, I must have goofed in getting my posting actually send as I did write yesterday as the system seemed to be working fine when I was here yesterday morning.  It seems the older I get the more little things like that seem to be happening.  However, in the big scheme of things it really isn't very important and I will try to be more careful and be sure my posting appears today.

Hi Pat.  As Jeanne commented I also hope you are having better days.  I know it has been very long journey for you dealing with the pain and all that goes with it.

Ruth Ann, glad your SIL is doing fine.  My lack of posting yesterday was an "operator error".  :)

Jackie, I didn't forget to post but apparently forgot to click on the "Post" icon and didn't notice it hadn't been recorded.  I actually wrote to all who had posted since the day before including you and Carol.  It sounds like the diggers were told to go back and try to find whatever it is they were looking for.

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

I'll be here for just a brief comment this morning.

Quarterly inspections are going on in our apartments beginning today. Naturally there are a few more things I want to do before they 'come knocking. :)

Y'all have a good day.

Looks like we're back to normal.    ;)

This afternoon I had an appointment with the doctor about the CT scan last week.  The good news is that the spot on my lung had not grown in two months, which means it is not cancer.  And the lymphoma had also remained unchanged.  So this was a good afternoon with prayers answered.  Praise our wonderful Lord.

Hi everyone. We have an overcast morning and will be in the low 90's this afternoon.  This morning Pat and I will go to a specialty shoe shop so she can get a new pair of shoes (obviously we didn't make it yesterday).  Following that we will eat our main meal of the day at a restaurant called "Honey on the Rock" that is owned by a ministry here in the area.  Pat has eaten there several times but this will be my first time.  Our granddaughter came over and had dinner with us last evening and then the ladies played the Farkle game.  Pat fixed a good meal.  I think she plans to come over again this evening to continue to games and have a light supper with Pat.  I am sure after a big lunch I won't want any supper.  Scott missed work yesterday at the direction of his doctor as he had a sore throat and swollen gland in his neck.  Apparently there is a viral something going around this area.  As he sees the public six nights a week he likely picked it up at work.  He hopes to feel up to working today as this is really their busy day as they have an evening buffet on Tuesday's.

Ruth Ann, hope you inspections go well.

Marilyn, it sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.  I bet your friend was happy for the visit.

Jeanne, that was indeed good and positive news from your doctor.  Prayers work.

Jackie, good morning.  I hope this will be a reasonably good day for you.  Are they still digging outside your house?

Jacqueline

Larry Hanna...
...isnt it brilliant, I can google map your restaurant and Whole Life Ministries...it is a long green and white double building...I can sit comfortable in my tiny office in UK and visit the outside world where you and Pat will be eating today...

Jeanne: Wonderful news on your check-up.

I needed to read some good news - I am about to visit our neighbor who is recovering from hand/ elbow surgery finally done after waiting months from a fall on ice.  Her husband is in care right now - and we have not been able to visit since Don has a cold.  I was afraid of passing it on since I couldn't tell if I was catching the cold either.  The headache I have I think are just allergies.  It is too dry here.  Red Flag warnings all over the state for fire alerts.

Our oldest son is visiting tonight as he has an early morning flight tomorrow.  It will be nice to see him and visit.  I am going to the store to find fixings for soup or something easy.  Walmart has messed up my prescriptions one more time.  Between the doctor's staff and them - I cannot count the times this has happened.  Once again.  It is cool this morning and I am wearing a new sweater present from Don - it is an Alpaca sweater from Peru.  Nice and softer than wool.  It looks like a denim color and now there is a yarn supposedly like a denim so I will try to find it and perhaps make a scarf.  Church always has a cool breeze going so sitting for an hour is downright uncomfortable at times.

We attended an old church in Minnesota on our visit and it is a replica of the Scandinavian stave church   made of all wood.  The pews had slats for seats and were so uncomfortable but realistic.   It does keep one alert and happy to stand for a song or prayer.

Jeanne Lee:  Isn't it terrible that we have to worry about a hack or theft of information when something unknown comes in the mail?

Watched the damage in Mexico, watching the storm in Puerto Rico and also ready of the massive problems with migrants in Sweden (too much too soon).  Not in our hands -
