Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

The new meds the doctor gave me are wonderful.  Slept through the night for the first time in ages.

We have snow.  I think it is a clipper going through. It is only -5C on the thermometer right now, so that means .....snow and less cold with the overcast skies.   John will be home later today so I think I will do up a roast for supper and have it ready for when he gets here.

We think we are having a rough time with snow...I was watching a program on avalanches and in the Utah mountains, they have been known to get 4 - 6 FEET of snow in a night.  As a result the have to create avalanches to protect the people and homes.  It was wild.  I remember driving the Donner Pass in winter and snow banks higher than the top of a semi.  It was an incredible feeling driving through a tunnel of snow.

Have a great day folks

Whiter Than Snow

    1. Lord Jesus, I long to be perfectly whole;
I want Thee forever to live in my soul.
Break down every idol, cast out every foe
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

    2. Lord Jesus, look down from Your throne in the skies
And help me to make a complete sacrifice.
I give up myself and whatever I know
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

    3. Lord Jesus, for this I most humbly entreat;
I wait, blessed Lord, at Thy crucified feet.
By faith, for my cleansing I see Your blood flow
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

    4. Lord Jesus, before You I patiently wait;
Come now and within me a new heart create.
To those who have sought You, You never said "No"
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

    Chorus:
Whiter than snow, yes, whiter than snow
Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

JudyB

We don't have the music for the above hymn but the words are wonderful....can you imagine anything that is whiter than snow?

Etta Sue

Like my sister tells me...why does all those stupid things happen to you?  I got my Verizon bill and was charged for 169 minutes over my 450 allowed minutes!  Over twice the usual bill in cost.  So I called Verizon and all that lady could tell me was what was on my bill.  She told me to go to Verizon.com and I could print out a 'usage detail' to see who I call and who I answered.  Nothing worked when I went to the website.  I was logged in but nothing about a bill.

So I called the Noblesville office to get some help and somehow got connected with the Atlanta, GA Verizon center!  That lady was very helpful but still neither her or I could find out how to get to last months usage detail!  She transferred me to another lady that I could barely hear and I was on speaker phone!  I ended up having her call me back.  Not a very friendly lady either.  She had me to re-register.  I did and when I would put the temporary password in that SHE gave me, it would say it was wrong!  Three times and still nothing.  So I finally asked if I went to a Verizon Center would they help me?  Yes.

So after an hour and forty minutes on the phone, I was at the Verizon Store at Noblesville in 20 minutes.  And guess what?  They couldn't get on the verizonwireless.com website!!  He got the temporary passwords from my cell phone where he called and they text messaged me, copied my papers and when he gets the usage details printed out, he will call me!!  Grrr!

I have never went over my minutes before and I can't image that I did last month.  And especially almost 3 hours over!  I need to know what numbers I called and answered to make sure I should pay this or dispute it!

Sorry!  Venting.  Not really venting but every time I have something like this, it is never easy.  I fell so inadequate on the computer but I truly think that businesses make websites so you can't do what you want to do!!

That's been my day.

Plus I don't really think my heat pump is fixed after all.  It was colder in here this morning that what the heat pump was set for.  Back to square one on it too!

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  Just checking in from my meeting and using my iPod Touch so won't make my normal posting.  Will be home tomorrow afternoon.

Jeanne Lee

Etta Sue, what an awful time you're having with Verizon!  Seems as though employees in these big corporations only know about their own little nook and nothing beyond.  I hope you get it straightened out soon.

Larry, I hope you're taking it easy and not over doing things.  We'll be glad when you're back home safe and sound and well rested from your trip.

Janet, now you know what the saying is all about - "stands out like a sore thumb".  We don't notice how much we use our thumbs until one gets hurt.

We got our share of snow today but I am going to leave the veh. parked until I know that for sure the roads are properly taken care of.

I did go out and cleared the side walks light fluffy snow. Very easy to do.

Janet: Thanks fasting is something I have never tried.
I hope your thumb is getting better.

Etta Sue:  Your phone problems I think that I will stay with the land line and not try other providers it always did scare me.
It is true about the employees being in their own little nook.

Marilyn: So sad about Willa.

Judy: It is good that the pain killers are working.

I am asking for prayer.  I have developed a case of stomach fly and need to be over it before Monday.  I have been so careful, but went into a home yesterday not knowing they had the flu in the house.

So  Please pray for healing.

Janet

Sorry, Judy, prayers going up!

Boy, Etta Sue, Verizon is something else, huh?  We were really disappointed when they bought out All-Tel in our area, service has suffered since then.

Yep, sure is true, Jeanne about a sore thumb sticking out!  It has finally stopped throbbing, though.  I'm happy about that.

I scrapbooked all day today, didn't enjoy it as much as usual because my back is hurting and my thumb kept getting in the way.  But I got eight pages done!  :)

Larry, where are you?  Stay warm and stay safe.

Ruth, good to read your post.

I'm going to get into something more comfortable and relax for a while.

Prayers for all in pain and awaiting surgery.  Keep on top of that pain.

Janet:  I will have to look up that Daniel fast.  Good wishes to you.

Someone mentioned all this company.  Isn't it crazy that this is a very small place & someone is calling to come all the time here when I have so much more room at home.  This kitchen - I cannot buy anything extra - there is no storage.  At least the fridge is full size.  A cousin & wife want to come & I had to ask them to hold on for another week & half.  Then, neighbors from Colorado will be here but I think that is next month - well, we are getting in some great visiting.  Our daughter arrives Thursday for 4 nights and I am not inviting anyone else so we get special time alone.  I have four other cousins and wives wanting to come and there are friends too - waiting for a clear day or two.

Looking forward to early church tomorrow as the regular pastor should be speaking.  Everyone is so friendly.

Marilyn

The Women's conference was wonderful and I got so very blessed. All three talks were on the issues we carry around as women and the need to give it to the Lord because he already took it all to the cross long before we were born.
We were given paper bags and told to put  the issues that we held on to into the bag and throw it in the garbage on the way out.

Well, after all my time on the phone and going to Verizon, I got on the website myself and printed out the usage detail which told the day, time, phone number, minutes, and if it was free or against my minutes.  Then after 450 minutes how much I was charged for that call!  AND I HAVE TO PAY IT.  I sat at the desktop and went to White Pages and reverse number.  I put in the number and that gave me an idea of who it was or what city.  I now do not have my home phone forwarded to my cell.  It was too easy to just answer the cell and if it was peak time, I was charged for the minutes unless it was Verizon to Verizon.  I have never went over my minutes but I think it was calls from the insurance man, the furnace man, the heat pump man, a friend south of Indy and then it didn't help having all the calls from and to Ivalou on there either.  One call with her cost me $12 since it is 45 cents a minute when you have gone over your minutes!  I learned my lesson.  Keep tabs of who you call on the Droid!  But I got it all figured out!

Did anyone watch Miss America last night?  I thought the winner should have been the winner.  What an awesome bunch of ladies representing America!

Church was awesome with the sun shining through the stained glass windows.  Love that!  Then Sunday School.  Then four of us went to Applebee's for lunch.

It is only 25 degrees but the ice and snow is melting off the roofs and the pavement.  Wish my big pile was melted where I got stuck in the car.  Some day!

I am excited about what the Lord is doing in our church!!  We have been without a pastor for some months now, but church is getting better and better.  I sense a new excitement, a new dedication, and more love among the members.  AND.....drum roll.....we had a whole bunch of people join the church today!  I don't know the count, as some had children and I don't know if they were joining (the kids) but looked like at least ten new members!!  What the enemy meant for evil, God is turning for good in our church.  We do have a pastoral candidate coming next Sunday, so if you would, please pray that the right decision will be made.  Thanks.

Marilyn, glad your women's conference was a blessing.  We have Shiela Walsh coming here to our little town next Saturday for a ladies' conference and are excited about that.

Also next Saturday afternoon, Todd Burpo, the author of Heaven is for Real will be here with his son Colton for a book signing.  I want to take my copy for him to sign.  He (the dad) was raised here in Ulysses, and his mom and grandma still live here.

Then on Saturday night we are having a potato bar at church, a fellowship meal to meet the pastoral candidate and his family.  So Saturday is going to be a really busy day.

Hi Judy. Seems I must have got the dates wrong re your visit here.  :(

I trust that the Lord has chosen the operating room staff, and that you will have a quick and uneventful recovery.

Will also be praying for your church family as they go through the search process for a new pastor. I have been on a search committee in the past and am aware of the prayer, interviews, and trust in the Lord's drawing the right one into leading your church body.

As you know from past experience, Pastor Dennis and his dear wife Lorna have been a blessing to the church I attend, and continue to touch many lives with their love, guidance, and simple presence in our midst.

Hugs to you and John.

Bonnie I am at Pat's now.  We are having a nice visit.

Tomorrow is surgery, and it appears that the nausea and other flu like symptoms I have had a a reaction to the new medication the Doctor gave me.  Thankfully it is not the flu.

We were delayed in coming south as the furnace quit.  John called in the repair man and he fixed everything up.

John was on his way to Thunder Bay Thursday and saw 2 big moose.  The female was huge, John figures it would weigh 2000 lbs.

I am off will be back tomorrow.
