JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Thank you Colin for posting.  I do hope that this doesn't mean that you won't be coming to CP--both you and Jeannine. We love you both and care for you.  And what did you mean "not Pat" about MSN?  Where you saying you haven't chatted to me on MSN?  I don't entirely understand.  :uglystupid:  I've spoken to you loads of times on MSN.

Anyway, I wish you both well and pray that the Lord will be honoured and His name will be above every name in all things.

Pat, I think he was saying "not including Pat"  which interpreted would say "besides Pat."   ;)

Yup, Marilyn .....  :D

Thanks Jane!  Thanks for sorting me out.

Hi everyone.....thank you all for your kind words of encouragement about Jeannine and my website. They are much appreciated indeed. Thank you Jane for sorting Pat out...cos I was going to do that! I meant two other people frome here and also Pat have chatted to me on MSN. Pat and I have chatted lots of time and it is always nice to talk to her as she knows my country. Talking about which...there are a lot of sad bewildered people here in N. Ireland who have watched in dismay at a political situation unfolding here. I am saying nothing more at the moment but my faith has took a battering this week. Good Christian people have shed tears and I am just bewilderd myself.

Hi Pat...of course I shall still be posting here. Jeannine may speak for herself but I am sure she will too. Love you all here too and you are all good friends.

Gordon...hope we will get meeting soon. Will be nice to see you.

Hi everyone else....praying and caring for you all. Take care...Colin

Hi everyone.  Will be brief this morning as is about time to leave for coffee.

This morning is Bible study and then I am meeting a friend for lunch and looking forward to both.

We have an extremely high pollen count here in Georgia and a lot of people are suffering as a result.  We also have a light covering of yellow powder from all the pine trees but it doesn't cause allergy.

Colin and Jeannine, you have a very nice website and I hope it has a lot of success as know you will dedicate it to the glory of God.

Ruth Ann, glad to see you are back home and the first of the surgeries is now over.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Etta Sue

Pat ~ Glad you are finally getting the results of your tests today.  I am praying they are good news!

Larry ~ I remember being in Louisiana when the pine pollen covered everything.  I thought this was terrible.  Nothing could be worse.  The next year we were there when the love bugs appeared.  I was mistaken about the pine pollen... :-\

Colin ~ Glad you reappeared on CP.  You bring a breath of fresh air to the forum!

Jane ~ Are you coming to Muncie for your family reunion this year?  I sure would like to see you!!

I am praying for those who have illnesses and those you need prayers of uplifting!

Yesterday Kitty and I took our photos to Kokomo.  I got a phone number that we can call next week and find out the results of the contest.  I would also like to go see all the photos.  Maybe Ivalou and I can ride up there...it's a little over an hour away.

Today I am taking Nancy and Walter to IU again.  At least it is warm weather.  Today is it raining but that is better than snowing.  And we don't have to wear jackets!!

Etta Sue - I always look forward to your graphics, but this time I'm puzzled.  What's with the "one-foot tracks" in the sand?

Marilyn

Al I think it is someone walking with a long stride. Check out which feet are in the "Footprints in the Sand" (does that sound familiar to you Al)

Etta Sue, I like your Foot Prints In The Sand, even if Al thinks it's just a one footed person hopping along.   I can see two feet. :)  One set of footprints.

No rain here today.  It's a day to be outside, but the grass is still wet, so the boys and I haven't been out yet.

I have been painting an upstairs closet.  That reminded me right quick that I don't like to paint.   It is in the room my sister has moved into, or is still moving into, and the last thing that needed to be done was paint the ugly yellow closet.  She can't do it with her COPD, so I wanted to get it done and dry before she comes back home.

Hi to all who come in today.   Nita

Hi all,

Been a long day. Had to start physical therapy again, they have nothing "definitive" about my shoulder, right, it's in black and white. Oh well, must be a reason for this all especially with hubby not coming along so good. God's hand is in this, I know it is, just not sure where yet.

Thank you all for the lovely comments on Colin's and my website, it is encouraging and appreciated. And it is alot of fun doing something constructive and for the Glory of God.

Have been reading and praying and will continue to do so. Thank you all for your prayers for my family, they are a comfort. God Bless you all and thank you for being here.

Still Trusting In Him,

Well it is nearly past my bedtime.....been a long day. We have had some beautiful spring weather and I was able to do a lot of gardening. Spent half the day yesterday trying to video a robin....sometimes he came so close I could have reached out and touched him but everytime I had the camera ready he dissapeared on me. I did get him a couple of times so now he is a film star. I was actually trying to video so Jeannine and I can use it on our website. We are really enjoying doing the work for the site and it takes a lot of time to put everything together. Have read all your posts and praying and caring for you all. Have to use a laptop at the moment as the main computer has took sick or something. See you all later!

Hello, all.  I am home again, after spending the past several days with Abby while her parents were away for a convention trip.

Thank you all so much for the kind words and prayers after the awful loss of Beth's little dog Mieka.  That was really a hard blow for her.  She called me and told me to thank Abby for trying to rescue Mieka, she said that was a really brave thing for Abby to do.  Some are asking if we will get Beth another dog.  If we did, it wouldn't really know it was her dog, because it would have to live here with us, and so would bond with us.  Hard to know what to do.

I tried to post from the store computer, didn't remember my password.  And I couldn't get their home computer to go online.  So I read a couple of times, but had to play "jane" and be quiet.  ;)

Colin, so glad to see you are back.  I was getting really concerned about you!  I visited just the first page of yours and Jeannine's site, but will go back and investigate further.  So THAT was what you were working on---now I get it!  :)

Pat, I hope you get good test reports, and I am so sorry you have lost another friend.  Heaven begins to look sweeter and sweeter as more of our friends and loved ones relocate there.  (((hugs)))

It is bedtime, I am tired, and have barely talked to Darrel this week.  I think I'd better say good night here.  Good night!

Oh.......I wanted to tell Etta Sue that just last Friday I had taken Mieka to the home and taken photos of her.  So I got some prints and will go tomorrow and put them in a couple of doggie frames Beth got for Christmas.  GMTA!

Good morning all.....  Hope you are all well. Still nobody here to make the tea and no biscuits or nothing and I cant find my mug either!

Hi Janet.....nice to see you back and sorry about Beths little dog. Thank you for your concern about me and please do visit Jeannine and my site again. Actually Janet....it was not what we were working on at all...we have another major project in progress which will be revealed in good time.....but we realised we had so much in common that the site was formed out of our shared interest. Thanks once again to all who have visited and left comments. See you all later. God bless

Colin, it's been my experience that Irishmen such as yourself cannot long subsist without their tea, so I hope you've gotten it by now!  Where exactly do you live in the greenish country?

Hello all!  A gray rainy day here at the Shuford neighborhood.  Bernard had another dr's appointment yesterday.  All of his bloodwork is completely normal.  That is good.  He is having an MRI Monday to rule out MS.  That is kind of scary.  Also, tomorrow, he goes for the TEE (trans-esophugal echo), so we should know more then about what kind of corrective stuff he needs on his heart.

And so it goes.

Things could be alot worse, I understand, so we are just greatful that we have God ot lean on and trust during all of this.

Etta Sue

Good day, everyone!  I took my car this morning to get it maintenanced and the left parking light replaced.  I realized yesterday it was probably broken by the dog I hit the last Sunday morning in December.  Remember me hitting a dog?  He hit on the left front of the car and that's where the parking light is.  Anyway, the parking light didn't get to the place I get my car maintenanced so I am to take it in Monday.

I called Ivalou and asked her if she would like a Subway sandwich so I we had lunch together at her house.  Ivalou had gotten an under-thecounter AM/FM/CD player for Christmas but never got it put up yet.  So I took my battery operated drill over and we got it installed.  Really a neat little noise maker!!

Tonight I am to go to Kitty's and then we are going to photography lessons.  Busy week!

Hi everyone.  I didn't get here early this morning as didn't get up in time before I had to leave the house.  This was a fun day as two of my friends and I went to Fry's Electronics and I got a laptop table that I can use in place of the large piece of foam that I have been using for several years.  I am trying it out right now and will see if I like it.  It is suppose to help the heat from the laptop dissipate and is very lightweight.

We then went to a deli over by where I used to live and I drove my friends by the two different houses we had lived in before we moved over here about 11 years ago.  Then we briefly stopped at another computer store and came home.  My wife and one of the friend's wife had gone to another city to a new quilt store.  We all got back home about the same time.

I have to help my wife get dinner ready so will just say by now.

Colin

:'( awww...I have just lost my post for the second time... :'(  Too vexed to write it again so good night to all....was replying to Al and Gordon mostly....Al..Pat may fill you in where I live and thank you Gordon for the tae and coments.   Goodnight!!

Took Mother to the Dr today, she has bronchitis.  With the perscription I expect she will be fine in no time.

Gord, A cup of tea would go down good right about now.

Kassie hurt he thumb yet again.  It is the top joint that is swollen and with the x-ray we know there is nothing broken.  Just wish the swelling would go down.  She is almost living with a bag of frozen veggies attached to her hand!  A little thing but a real nuisance.  It is her writing hand.

The weather has been beautiful.  A friend of ours is boiling down his sap.  Every 4 gallons of sap makes one gallon of syrup.  His wife was telling me that he has had one of the skis on his sled break.  I will shesk the garage and see if there is one in the loft, that will help him out.

Well the fire needs lit, and I have sewing to do.

God bless

I am still up stewing on a situation here in the great North.

A friend of Kassie and Elizabeth's lives just down the road from us.  She is in a different township, but the girls can walk to this friend's home.  Paige is in Girl Guids and to earn badges she saved her money and bought 6 chickens.  The place where she bought them had 4 others that were going to be put down as no one wanted just 4 chickens.  Paige too them as well for a total of 10 birds.  With the help of dad she built a pen, then a house for the birds.  She fed, watered, cleaned and gathered the eggs of the chickens.  Today in the paper we learned that Paige was being fined $2500 for having the birds on a residential road.  It doesn't matter that the property behind them is a cow field, and the property in frontof them houses goats and emus, she has to get rid of her birds which she calls he pets.  How often do we as parents hope the lessons of caring and responsibility are learned?  Yet here they are being discouraged by the town clerk, who is going by the book!   If they lived 100 yards down the road they would be in a different township and there would be no problem.  There I will get off this soap box!

It is late, and I have to get some rest before tomorrow am comes.  I will let you know the final result of this case as this 13 year old child is fighting the government!  Good for her I say.

Colin

Good morning from N. Ireland. Cloudy damp start to the day. Gordon makes a mean cup of tea...thanks Gordon! So I will go away now and get something done. See you all later.

Good Morning all,

Thank you to all who have checked out our website, Colin's and mine, not sure about Colin but I am having fun, it keeps me busy and my mind off everything else going on. It is also a good way to spend time with God and a very dear brother. <3

Not much else has changed, may be finally getting a "new" vehicle, new to me at least. Say a prayer it all works out. Thanks.

Hope you all have a God filled and blessed day. Am praying for all and reading even if I don't always post.

Faith's Poems

Colin

I LIVE BECAUSE HE LIVES

They came to mock; to stand and stare
To hurl abuse at Jesus there
Gathered around the cross lifted high
And on its frame watch Jesus die

They did not care upon that hill
Innocent blood upon the ground would spill
And only jeered with greater cries
Rejoice now we for Jesus dies

They laughed at Him with crown of thorn
Come down; come down they mocked with scorn
And a sword spilled blood from His precious side
And day was as night as Jesus died

They understood not why He died that day
It was to redeem and wash sins away
Thought when they laid Him in grave's cold bed
It was His end because Jesus was dead

But three days later and hope reborn
When grave lay empty on resurrection morn
What a blessed message to the world it gives
There is salvation for all because Jesus lives

How they mocked when they watched Him die
But now He lives and reigns on high
And when on the cross He hung and bled
It was for me because in sin I was dead

No hope I saw beyond the grave
Until I called on Him my soul to save
And He gave me life and the reason why
He said; who believes in me shall never die

And what befalls me in joy or sorrow
There is grace for today and forget tomorrow
For I am His and He forgives
And now I live because He lives

A little early for Easter but I felt prompted to post this poem this morning.

I am actually enjoying doing the website Jeannine and you are not too bad to work with....a little bossy but then I need pushed at times....only joking! Enjoying taking the videos...lovely time of the year. Take care.
Hear from you later no doubt!!

God bless all who come here.

Judy, that's awful!  We try to teach responsibility, thrift and honesty, and then the government in some form comes along and punishes a child for those very virtues!  I will be very interested in the outcome of this case.  I hope adults in the area take the little girl's side and show the city clerk how unjust she is being, and get the stupid "law" changed.

Colin, another lovely poem, and I need to be reminded that Easter is coming soon!  And I shall return to the new website and see what's happening; also look forward to the bigger project's launch.

It looks as if we might get more rain, actually sprinkling right now.  We are going to work on that big camera system today we are installing.

Gotta run!  Later!  :)

Hi everyone.

We have cooled off here today but still no rain.  I have a much quieter day planned until this evening when we have choir practice at 7 pm.

We had a nice group of men at the senior center this morning, including one new man.

Pat has left for an appointment and a meeting so won't be back until this afternoon.  I am starting to work on a family newsletter and also revising my website since I moved to a different ISP.

JudyB, initially when I read about the plight of the little neighbor girl I thought that the law might relate to avian flu.  However, that doesn't hold if the county in which you live doesn't have such a law.  It seems like government has to be involved and try to control every aspect of our lives and each year they seem to think that they have to pass more laws.  Hope the problem can be resolved.

Colin, good to see you posting poetry again and writing on the CP site.

Janet, don't overwork on that big project.  I am assuming that Darrel still isn't able to help with any overhead work.

Sarah, sorry to hear of the passing of your former classmate.

Jeannine, hope you are able to find a "new" car for your use.

Ruth Ann, if you look in I hope you are feeling better from your surgery.  Usually after the third day improvement is recognizable on a daily basis.
