JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Good Morning from the west coast where is is 8:30 am. I have been typing some posts on SN and sending off a long email to a friend. I have one load in the dryer and another ready for the dryer.

Jane Good new about Bry. He will be alright this time, he is older and now knows what he wants to do with his life, well almost.

Thanks Etta Sue for the info re Earthlink. So far so good but I am still using my cable  for  Internet until the Earthlink modem gets here. I do appreciate your input.

Hey Al where are you? Tell us what you did for your birthday inquiring minds want to know.  ;)

Janet I love Mary Kay cosmetics. Did you get all make up or did you get some of the cleansers too? The microdermabrasion  sure makes you skin feel clean and so soft.

Caril did you say your quilt is king sized, and you have lad the whole thing out on the floor?  If I had one that big I would have to take it to the church and set up several tables to lay it out on.

JudyB on the drapes that you want to put batting in  turn the drape inside out and  tack the batting in several places along the edges on one layer, when you  turn it back to the right sides  it will be ready to pin  before you quilt it. make sure you leave on end open until you are through with the quilting, then sew that end together.  Leaving the end open will help  to keep it from wrinkling while you are quilting it. I usually don't do any of the hemming until all the quilting is finished. The I put on the finishing touches.

Jane ~ I am sure Bry will be fine this time in the Army.  This time he wants to do a fine job and even thinking he might make a career out of the Army.  Seems his attitude has changed for the positive...that means growing up.

Etta Sue~Bryan's intentions, from the beginning, were to make a career of the Army.  It's about being sent into heavy combat in Iraq at the age of 17; being beat up every day because of his age and "to make him tough"; seeing death and horror every day .... It's not about attitude it's about war and the fact he was already ADHD ... came home very broken and experiencing PTSD.... He spent several months homeless and on the streets ... STUFF!!

Thanks, Janet, Karma, JudyB and Marilyn for your prayers ...

Joy emailed yesterday that her husband John was taken to the hospital and kept overnight with very LOW blood pressure and very LOW heart rate.  They are running all sorts of tests to determine the cause.  This is a man who usually has high bp!  He has been really stressed over Bryan's circumstances and, Joy says, God just had to give him a time out until this passes.   :-\

I've posted an update on our little baby that needs prayer still.

She's going to be eight months old soon and is urgently needing prayer.

Jane, when I am inwardly fretting over "stuff" that needs to be done, and my arm is hurting and I'm not supposed to be doing anything, I have to remember that this is my time to "Be still and know that He is God."  Helps keep me calmer.

I don't understand about Bryan getting beat up everyday!  Darrel spent 7 years in the Army, and he tells me that if any soldier(s) ever beat up another one, he got arrested by the MPs and thrown in the stockade!  Did Bryan's officers not know what was happening?  That just simply should not be!!!  >:(

I have been working all day, and now I'm paying the price.  My back is hurting something fierce.  Might keep my mind off the arm.

Yes, Etta Sue, my surgery will be early Monday morning.  That's why I've been trying to get things in order around here today.  :-\  But, maybe not a good idea.

Marilyn, I will have the facial at a later date, after the surgery and the trip to St. Louis.  I have her card, so can call her and set the time for that.

Carol and Judy, I used to sew a lot, years ago, have hardly done any in the past twenty years.  And the only quilts I ever made were baby quilts for my kids---also years ago, of course!  ;)

I'm going to lie down for a bit, then need to go visit Beth and Mom.

Thanks for asking about my bd, Marilyn.  Telling what I did is more a confession than anything else.  I went to the local Papa Murphy's, bought a stufft chicken&bacon pizza, brought it home, baked it, and ate my fill.  Ooo that was good!  I was being bad, and I enjoyed it immensely!  So there.

Jane - I do pray that Bryan will adjust very, very well to the army this time.  I'm sure he will.  It'll be God's blessing.  Let him know that's what it was.

Of course not!!   >:(

Thanks, Al,  He does know that the Lord is with him and has kept him through all that he has come through.  He even has a tatoo of a cross made with nails between his shoulder blades because, he says, "God's got my back!"

Janet, Marilyn, I personally LOVE Mary Kay cosmetics.  I honestly feel that they are among the best on the market.  Of course, I also concede that I could easily be biased. :)  (For anyone that doesn't know, I've sold MK now for almost 5 years).  Enjoy your facial, Janet.  Of almost all the consultants I know, that is one of the favoritest parts of the business.

Have a great night! and rest of the weekend.

Etta Sue

Jane ~ My apology.  I misunderstood about Bry.  I am so sorry about that.  If I heard the story before, my mind forgot it.  That happens a lot anymore. :-[  But again, he will do fine this time around.  I will pray that he loves the Army so much that he will make a career out of the Army.

Janet ~ Here's prayers for your surgery tomorrow.  Hope you are fine and the surgeons do the job right the first time.  Hope you get to sleep fast and wake up fast...after the surgeon is done.  And each minute after surgery you are better and better.

Church was awesome today.  Both sermons were on 'iFree'.  A new technology for meaning you are free when you have Christ in your heart.  Even though some people think they aren't free with Christ in their hearts...teenagers for one...can't do the things that others do etc...they are free.  Great sermons...both of them.  The post teen minister used a yard stick for emphasis in letting us know that people are always measuring themselves to others.  How good or bad they are for the spouse, their job, their parents, their kids, etc.  Then at the last he broke the yard stick and make a cross out of it... showing us that with the cross we are free.  The Bible verses were Galatians 2:11-21.

Photobucket must be down.  My graphics aren't showing right now...maybe later.

No apology needed, Etta Sue ... I didn't mean to seem like I was upset    offended --- maybe a little defensive.   :-[  Not too many know even a part of his story because I have never shared it....only a little, here and there.  We all know that he is God's child and we have released all our concerns into HIS very capable hands.  That's really the very best -- and only -- thing we can do: PRAY!   :)

Wow we sure had an awesome sermon today on 2 Chronicles 20. Pastor preached right out of his heart this morning, all he had in his had was his Bible, no note and he was walking back and forth  in front of the platform.  This is one of those unforgettable sermons that I will remember for a long time.

Janet I am praying for you and will be praying in the morning. What time do you go into surgery?

Hi Sarah good to see you coming in now and then when you get a chance. You go girl.

I got the  baby quilt parts all pinned together front filling and back, and on the  big hoop. It is ready to be quilted.

Thank You for the advice Marilyn.

Jane I am praying for both situations.

Janet When you overdo it you will pay.  The doctor gives these orders for a reason, he does know what is best.  In the meantime now that you have overdone it will ice help with the pain?

Al a treat like that doesn't hurt once in a while.  Just don't do it every day. That wouldn't be good.

Hi Etta Sue and Sarah.  God be with you.

We had missionaries speak today.  Monty is in a terrible amount of back leg pain.  They are home for a year.  They are itching to go back as soon as possible.  YOu can see the way he walks that he is in pain.  A MRI is scheduled so they are on their way to Alberta to continue investigating the problem.  Please keep Monty in your prayers.

We have had a good day today.  We went to a friends for dinner after church.  What a wonderful time of fellowship we had.

Well I am off, Pat have a good day.
Love JudyB

Jane, I guess we all have those "untold stories."  Some of them, people can only handle a bit at a time, huh?

Marilyn, I'm to be at the hospital in Liberal (70 miles away) at 6:30 AM.  Thanks for the prayers.

Diane and Abby went to Kansas City to market, due home today, and I will rest easier once I know they are safely home.

Not much to say, but please remember me in prayer.  I do not anticipate any problems, but knowing people are praying will make me feel more secure.  Thanks.

Hello, Sarah, haven't seen much of you lately.  Hope all is going well.  Guess you will be heading back to school soon, huh?

Judy, I have been using ice, and yes, it helps.  Thanks.

Janet, I will also be in prayer for you -- and all the staff and technichians and everyone else who will touch your life tomorrow ....  <3

JudyB~ Thanks for your prayers.  Joy had a small update on John today but it isn't encouraging.  God is in control of that situation, as well ... it is always so wonderful to be able to trust everything into His keeping!

God bless all y'all as the day ends and a new day dawns .... <3
