Tisie, a long-time friend from SeniorNet days, visited Janet and got a wonderful picture of her. She's posted the picture on another site and I'm trying to get her permission to post the picture here or at least a link to it.

edit:  I didn't even scroll back to see the news and pictures of Janet.  Bless her heart.  From all she's been through,  she doesn't look wiped out.  I know she looks tired, but I know God is sustaining her in this time.  It'll be so good to hear from her.  We love you, Janet!!

Hi everyone.  I have had a busy but productive day with most of the morning involved in getting my online banking setup with our local bank that was closed on a Friday by the FDIC and reopened the following week by new ownership.  They have now switched to a different online billing system and it wasn't very simple to set it up.  I had to call them for help but finally got it. 

I have also spent several hours today working on getting the photos for the Senior Golden Games on the website.  I am finally caught up with everything I needed to do on the website.

I don't know whether I mentioned it before but a couple of days ago we purchased a ROKU player to work with the Netflx account we have where Stacey can get DVDs.  You can stream any of the 12,000+ movies and TV shows that they have available for instant viewing and the wireless box let's us play these on the TV.  We are really liking it as it is simple to use and there are no commercials. 

Nita, I would suggest your friend with the slow computer download a program called Advance System Care.  I have used it on our computers and on the one I worked on Tuesday and it seems to really speed things up.  It has a optimization command.  Here is some info and the link: Advanced SystemCare Free 100% Freeware

I appreciated seeing the pictures of Janet and glad to know she is getting a laptop.

This has been a long day.  There was a family member who had a problem and I went to their aid.  Home now to teenage problems.....It comes with the territory.

Belated birthday greetings to Pat 

The stitching circle went well - there were 11 of us while five called to say they were coming.  I managed OK.  Tomorrow,  Don is driving back to Fort Collins and I am going to be with my quilting friends for morning & lunchtime at the basement of the old Methodist church.  Can't wait.

Hi everyone.  Just back from coffee and have to leave again in a few minutes to attend to something this morning.  When I got to coffee this morning I accidentially let the door of the senior center catch two of the fingers on my right hand.  One of the fingers it smashed pretty well at the base of the nail and the other isn't too bad.  I likely will eventually lose the one nail as it is already turning dark.  The door closer devise worked in opening but apparently doesn't work as it is closing allowing it to slam and I had diverted my eyes.  It doesn't feel really great but tolerable.  I just took a couple of Tylonol so will be fine.

Pat, that was a lovely picture of you and Paul.  I finally played about three of the games last evening but sure didn't set any records.  They were fun and I will play them again.

Carol, it sounds like you are really enjoying your quilting group.  Pat and a friend just cut out and then Pat sewed up several lap bibs from old vinyl tableclothes and took them yesterday to our respite center a the church called Calvin Cove.  The craft group is starting to make things for the Christmas sale they always have and Pat has a project to make somethings for it.  She doesn't enjoy the weekly get together to work on the projects so prefers to do hers at home.

Hope everyone has a good day.  Sure hope Janet gets her laptop computer today.  Etta Sue, those catcus flowers were unreal in beauty.  Hope you will send those for Janet to see if you haven't done so already.

I'm leaving now for London, Ontario.  I'm very sad.  I'm not sure what I'm going to be faced with when I arrive with poor Rachael.  I just wish I knew if she had made a commitment to our Lord and Savior to make Him Lord of her life.  If I really knew that, I'd not feel this way.

Anyway, I was thinking of this hymn as I was getting ready to go.

Please pray that if it's the Lord's will that I may have an opportunity to witness for Him while I'm gone.  I'll be home late tonight.

Larry use ice on those fingers.  That will help.  Also Tylenol for pain is good.

I like challenges.  Pat mentioned the Arcade and Chomper was first.  I wanted to beat ScottyBoy and did!  Still surprised at myself.  I tried a few other games but either I didn't understand them or didn't know what to do.  They weren't challenging. 

Today my neighborhood is having garage sales.  Since I had surgery a week ago and was planning on the weiner roast, I decided to not get involved.  But I have a working sweeper, a full size memory foam mattress pad and my old HP Printer that was working when I unplugged it out at the end of my driveway with FREE signs on them.  Hope I get takers...don't want to bring them back in. 

Thanks for posting the pictures of Janet.  Just wish I was closer and I would help her with her new laptop.  Hope she has better luck in learning than I did.  Frustrating at first and then things clicked in and I love my laptop now!

No rain today but I doubt that I can mow this afternoon so I will probably paint the wall where the new A/C is.  Been doing some laundry and catching up on the internet....slowly.

Hello to all. I have been sitting on the couch with the heating pad on my shoulder. I think  the pain is caused from  using the mouse for long hours working on my PSP lessons.

I am  all packed, (except for what I still need to use) for the trip tomorrow. When the gal called to  verify our reservation, she remembered me from last year when I told her my name.

I have been worrying about the dogs as they have never been boarded before and I feel so sorry for them not knowing what is going on or if I am coming back to get them.

They do know that I came back to get them on the days they went there to visit, but this time they will be taken  by the owner to her private horse boarding farm. I don't know how well they will behave to get in a car with someone they are not that familiar with.

Hotmail will be sending out  vacation notices to those in my address book and who send me emails  every 4 days automatically. So please don't send me any emails until after the 21st when I return from Sunriver.

So long for now, however I shall return.

Etta Sue, I'll take your foam topper.  You will deliver...right?  I'm just not good at those games.  I go more for thinking games, logic (not that I am favored with great logistical thinking. LOL) rather than speed.  Just knowing it's timed can slow me down.  You go, girl!

Larry, I have Advanced System Care on my computer and really like it.  I was calling it something else, maybe Advanced Windows Care, in my post where I mentioned their problem, so you must not have seen that.  I use the program mentioned weekly and really appreciate it. Really like the free part.

I'm staying home all day and as quick as I am done here will go out and start weedeating.  I'll mow this afternoon.

The change over from analog to digital is upon us. I notice I can't pick up OPB(Public Broadcasting) so may need a new antenna.  I have dish, so the only programs I am missing are the locals. I could switch to tv and get them through the air, but now I hve to add my digital/analog box to the other boxes.  This world is becoming to electric for me. I think I'll move in the woods for awhile.  Use my coal oil lamp, wood heat, comfy bed or course, and lots of green all around me.  Maybe a creek. haha  Ahh the comforts of home.

Nita there is an area in our bush that would be great for a cabin.  If there were a fireplace added to a cabin it would be great year round.  We are thinking of building an A Frame back there for the girls as a retreat.  If you want that kind of life come on out east and enjoy!!

I am sewing today..Have been taking a break from it as I was waterlogged so to speak.  So now back at it.

John is on his way home.  Be in by 7 or 8.  I have stripped the bed so have that to do as well.

I had some kind of bug night before last, and it made my just a little dizzy when I had to  go down the hall  during the middle of the night, so that I was weaving and bumping the walls all the way down.  Feeling much better today.  Thanks be to the Lord, as in the Psalm above.

Green Lawn has just come to the door , they will be pulling weeds and fertilizing
