Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Judy, you be careful out there in the winter wonderland!  You don't need to fall and injure that shoulder!!  And, again--please send some of that wonderful white stuff down here to SW Kansas!

What a cute idea, Etta Sue--baby work boots!  :)

Carol, I am so glad you are starting to feel better.  Hope you get better and better until you feel better than you have in YEARS!!

Hello, Larry, Al, Ruth Ann, Marilyn, and all who pop in!

My book Rising Above available at JanetDamon.com

Carol

thank you, Janet:  That is so sweet of you - better & better.

LOL Etta Sue:  Make that baby work for food!

May I second a caution to Judy - don't slip!  We always laugh about how mom's tell their children - now, don't slip & fall.  I say the same thing even now.

My knitting may actually be improving - after making three mistakes in a row, I finally think it is fixed.  This is the last sleeve.  Can't stand it anymore but must finish so I learn something.

It hit 80*F. today.  This is Arizona.  Don drove me all over to many places to shop and I spent 75 cents total because nothing was right for this place.  Looking for a potato masher & none to be found.  Need a little hand mixer & nothing either.  I found six cloth napkins.  Gas was $3.26 cents a gallon at only one place so we filled up.

Hi everyone.  This has been a very full day as it was a special annual day with the organization for which I serve as treasurer.  It was very successful and very inspiring.  However, I am really beat as got home too late to rest this afternoon as needed to total up the income and expenses from the day.

We are suppose to have 2-3 inches of rain tonight but no severe weather.

Etta Sue, I also got a chuckle from your comment about the baby.  Thanks for giving us a good chuckle for the day.  Sure hope you don't have any flooding as it sounds like it is pretty bad and more rain going through the area.

Judy, do you usually get a lot of snow in March.  I am sure you are all tired of it by now.

Carol, glad you are feeling better.

Janet, it sound like you have a very busy day again but a very productive one.  Glad you could spend the time with your sister.

Janet

Well, I have had a pretty productive day again today.  I cleaned and straightened up my studio, then sorted through several boxes and suitcases of stuff from Darrel's Mom's.  There were several piggy banks with money in them; Dolores told us to take them as Darrel has always been into coins since a young boy.  I dumped them all out (except one I would have to break!) and then stacked the coins in dollar piles.  In one bank there were lots of half-dollars!!  All told, over three hundred dollars in coins.  AND.....there are quite a few silver ones, too!  Darrel was happy we brought them home.  He has a pretty good coin collection.

Then I ate lunch, rested for about an hour, went back in there and painted for a couple hours or more.  Got a gift ready for our Spring exchange in my painting group which meets next Saturday.

I'm on the schedule to work on Mon. and Tues. this week; Wed and Thurs. next week...and I am wanting to get started on the book I plan to write.  I can't concentrate when things around me are in chaos; thus the cleaning spurt.  I had been taking things back there to the studio and putting them on the tables, and they were really a mess.  Looks lots better now.

Tomorrow is our new pastor's first Sunday!  YEA!!

Yes folks I am being careful.  The neighbouring farmer came and used his tractor/snowblower on the driveway.  I ran out, snow a foot or more deep and started to slear the car windows, he got out of the tractor and took over for me.  The driveway is clear, John came home and didn't have to struggle with the truck.  I thank God for Lloyd, a brother in Christ.

Carol I have started another sweater, with some yarn I had stashed away.  It is a finer yarn thn I like and I am struggling.  It doesn't knit up as fast as I would like. Slowly but surely it will get done.

Tomorrow is the Lords Day.  We are heading to bed so we are rested and can pay attention to the pastor.

Etta Sue

Good morning.  I am all ready to go out the door for church.  We had 50% chance of snow last night but nothing white out there.  Only the low spots have water.  The shallow areas are dry now.  Plus I saw my first robin this morning.  They just haven't been around here this year...not in my yard.

I got the little work boots done!  They are so cute.  I found a box for the afghan.  Wrapped it all in tissue paper.  Used yarn as ribbon and the little boots as a bow.  Then I made my card on the computer.  So cute!

Years ago I used to get Annie's Attic crochet books.  You could order special patterns.  I got baby through adult booties/slippers.  Saddle oxfords, Mary Janes, high top tennis shoes, work boots, cowboy boots, sandals, sneakers, granny slippers, moccasins, track shoes, etc.  12 designs.  So cute.  And to think I used to sell them for $3 a pair.  Not any more!  The baby shoes don't take long.  I was done with the work boots in about 3 hours.  But they are so unique.

Off to church!

Etta Sue, how about showing us a picture of those little boots?  I would love to see them.  I have noticed lately, little babies wearing socks that look like shoes, especially little Mary Janes on baby girls.  Cute!

I am so tired of the TBN Telethon.  None of their regular programs all week!  If I based my giving on that, they would receive less, not more, because I much prefer the regular programming.  Ok, that's my gripe for the day (week.)  They had it on all last week and I was so hoping they would be back to regular programming this week, but at least this morning, not so.  :(

I need to go get ready for church.  Sure am looking forward to greeting our new pastor and family!!  :)

Hi everyone.  A very rainy night in Georgia last night but I think it is probably over for today.  I haven't heard how much we got but it must have been 2 or 3 inches as the water is standing in low places as the ground is already saturated.  The sun just now popped through the clouds and sure looks good.

We will leave for church in about an hour.  I missed choir practice so sure hope I know the piece we are doing this morning.  We always practice each piece for several weeks so not too worried.  I expect to have a quiet and restful day after we get home from church.

Janet, I agree about the telethons.  They do those on the public broadcasting channels here in the Atlanta area and where they used to do it once a year it seems to be almost monthly.  It sounds like you really got a lot done yesterday as you prepare to start on your book.

Etta Sue, do you have a large collection of patterns?  I am sure the little boots are very cute.  It sounds like spring is on its way to your area.

Judy, you sure can't beat having good neighbors.  Having grown up on a farm, I will understand how neighbors help each other.  Glad John is home with you all for a bit.

JudyB

Etta Sue I would love that collection of patterns.  Theysound sweet.  Are they knitted or crocheted.

Great service this morning.

Lots of snow on the ground again, Pastors wife came up with a positive comment about that.  she said it covered the mud.  Yes it does that and looks pretty.  Can't wait for spring though!

Marilyn

Etta Sue I would too. Judy I think they are crochets. I don't know but I don't think Etta sue knits.

Hello everyone.... I have been reading about all the rain that  Nita and Larry's areas have experienced!
How I love where God has placed me!! Today, the sun is shining and everything is soo white! I just came in from cleaning off my satellite dish as it has been covered with snow for two days and I have not been able to access the internet. I put a picture of it in my gallery, however I don't know how to set up a link here. .....maybe this will work:

For those who are worried, Everett was watching. I've had to do it three or four times a year, since we had it installed in 2004, so I have experience  ;D.

I saw JudyB at church this morning and was able to give her a big hug without hurting her arm. She says it is so much better!

Being tax season, I have much to keep me busy, however love to come in here to read your postings.

Holding you up before our Lord,

RuthV

Hi Everyone Just relaxing this afternoon and taking some time to post a few words. Its minus 8 cel outside but the sun has been shining all day which really made for a pretty sight out in the countryside with all the fresh snow we got this weekend. Yes Larry we can get a lot of snow here in March as a matter of fact we can still get snow here into April. However by this time of year we are starting to look forward to spring arriving and getting rid of the snow and watching the new gowth of nature again. Had a quick trip to Wisconsin this week, 1650 miles in 3 days. But had good roads and weather for the most part of this trip. Eagerly awaiting getting the new truck the company got for me. Its all ready to go except for the lease agreement hasnt arrived yet so that they can get the tags for it. Hope that will happen this week. I go for my final day of training for the Road Knight Team this coming Friday and after that we will be used to resent to the media and the public about the trucking industry. Looking forward to getting going on this endeavour It should be an exciting 2 years. I am looking forward to finding out what God has in store for me in this area, as I have no doubt that I am on the Team with His blessing. Spending a quiet day of refreshing today which is much needed as it has been a very hectic routine since the new year going to go for now God bless everyone and have a good week Bonesy
