Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Here it is 1:30 am.  I said "Goodnight" to Paul awhile back and now can't sleep so came in to let you all know that Judy and I, today, lost our brother, Murray to cancer.  He was promoted to Glory at 6:45 am this morning.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" Psalms 116:15

The visitation is on Tuesday and then the funeral service is on Wednesday in Toronto so I'll be scarce this week.

Please pray for Murray's family.  What a wonderful time of caring for their Dad and Mother they've been doing in the past weeks and months during this battle of cancer.

Dear Pat and Judy I am so sorry for your loss. I know you will take comfort that Murray is in the presence of his Saviour. God bless and hold you both and all the family circle at this sad time. Will pray for you all.

Hi everyone.

Pat and Judy, we send our condolences to you and all of your families.  Losses are always difficult even when we see them coming.  We will be remembering you all this week and our thoughts and prayers.

Liz, sorry to hear of your new health problems and hope you can see the doctor on Monday and get on the road to recovery.  I think a lot of people are going to cellphones as their only phones.  I have looked into that several times but it just doesn't seem right for us at this time.

Our daughter continues on her road to recovery.  At the moment she is sitting in her mother's easychair doing the IV antibiotic for this morning.  She is still experiencing a lot of pain when she moves from the surgery.

Pat and I are heading to church this morning.  It is overcast and looks rainy here today and if today is like yesterday it will remain in the 70s or the lower 80s.

Etta Sue, you are getting good use of your picnic area this year.  Hope you have nice weather for it.  I don't think I ever heard of a cornbread salad but sure it is very tasty.

Melody, perhaps your increased visitors is a product of the high prices of gasoline.  I hope your hot weather is not so hot as to be stifling.

Al, I remember you speaking of the young man your church was helping.  It sounds like things are looking up for him.

Nita, you have me beat on the weight loss front.  I have only lost 10 pounds but am very happy with the results of following the Weight Watcher's program for men on the web.  Hope you had a wonderful day with Maysie.

Dear Pat - so little can be said that will be of any real help in your loss.  And that little has already been said.  May our Lord Himself speak to you the peace and ultimate joy that only He can bring.

Etta Sue

Pat & JudyB ~ Please accept my condolences for the loss of your brother.  Take comfort in knowing that he is enjoying his home-going and reveling in the heavenly reunion.

When all else fails, read the instructions.  I went to Toshiba.com and click on the user guide for the model of my laptop.  I found out that the touchpad is also a scroll.  If I slide my finger up or down on the right edge, it scrolls up or down.  If I slide my finger on the lower edge, it will scroll left or right!!!!  And the scroll sometimes acts as a zoom in or out on some games.  At least I know now how to get it to zoom back out when it zooms in now.  Also learned how to use the calculator keys that are actually letters on the keypad.  So now I can add ®, °, ¼, ½ etc.  Even write GÔ¿ÔD Day to all!!

Larry ~ The church picnic isn't back in our/my woods.  It is on the church grounds.  They have a cement area with a roof over it and picnic tables under.  We are to eat at 5:30 and games are at 6:30.  I am a spectator....not a participator!!

Six of us ladies went out to eat after church.  They didn't know if anyone wanted to go out or not since we are eating a big meal this evening....but we all decided we needed food for energy to go to the picnic tonight!!!!

An interesting thing was said to me yesterday.  Something, or someone, isn't lost if you know where it is.  We KNOW where our brother is, so he isn't lost, just waiting for the rest of the family to join him.

I feel for Grace Murray's wife, as she is the one to have the hardest time with his passing on to glory.  Please keep her and their children and grand children in your prayers.

Thank you for all the prayer that has gone up for us.

Hi, friends,

Pat and Judy, my loving condolences to you and to each member of your extended family. The loss of a family member is always so difficult, and it forever influences our lives.

Today my husband passed on to glory 35 years ago.

Well, it was truly wonderful to be able to attend worship at church today, then eat a modest meal with my friends. They said since I was back for the first time, I got to choose, so I said I'd like a restaurant with stuffed baked potatoes. Here in the South, barbecue restaurants bake potatoes and stuff them with your choice of barbecued meat - I chose barbecued pork today. Yummy. And, since there were only 4 of us, we shared one serving of banana pudding. My one bite (no more allowed because of the diabetes) was delicious, and satisfied my craving for sweets.

Then, it was time to come back home and rest for an hour or so before getting onto the internet.

By the way, since the surgery I've lost 11 lbs - mighty thankful for that.

Y'all have a great rest of the day, friends.
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Janet

Pat and Judy, I add my condolences to the others expressed here.  Just know that we all care, and that Murray is now waiting in heaven for the rest of his family to join him.  I have noticed that the more loved ones I have up there, the sweeter heaven grows, and how I long for the day when we will all be rejoicing around the throne.

I have been weeding out old emails all afternoon, looking for a form letter for the Walk to Emmaus I need.  Darrel and I are sponsoring some friends on the walk in October, and I need to get started on the preparations NOW.  I did find it!  And then I found it in My Documents, where I thought it was.......and overlooked it earlier!  :-[

Oh, my, the Olympics have been great, haven't they?  I haven't watched them a lot, but really enjoyed what I did see.  I really wanted to watch the synchronized swimming, but missed it.

I surely hope we hear from Beth's doctors this week!
