JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

This is not a Christmas Carol in the traditional sense, but it embodies the meaning of Christmas.   That is my humble opinion.

DOWN FROM HIS GLORY
(Click to hear music)

Down from His glory, ever living story,
My God and Savior came, and Jesus was His name;
Born in a manger to His own a stranger,
A man of sorrows, tears and agony!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

What condescension, bringing us redemption,
That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight,
God gracious, tender laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Without reluctance, flesh and blood His substance,
He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan;
O glorious myst'ry sacrifice of Calv'ry!
And now I know He is the great "I AM"!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

One of the laymen of the church has written a Christmas play, which will be presented next Sunday night.  Darrel and I had signed up that we would help if needed, and this morning, Eddie asked me to read a story and Darrel to be a shepherd.  So we are going to practice at 4:00.

Our museum always hosts Open House during Christmas.  I just came from there; today the Mennonite young people sang, then a trio, then the Mennonite children.  The museum is decorated beautifully, and the old school house evokes fond memories.  Nice!

I must get busy and start wrapping gifts soon!

Judy:  We are getting a rain snow combination and the roads are getting covered.

Good to hear from everyone.
Yesterday we went to a 60th wedding anniversary,  It was a gathering of 40 folk mostly relatives but a few friends were also invited a nice little gathering.

Mel had been away visiting with a friend of his but since he has just arrived home it is time to get dinner ready. Pancakes & sausage with real maple syrup.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:6
