Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Hi everyone.  It is late so I am going to be relatively brief.  We had Bible study this morning and then Pat and I had lunch at a buffet.  Came home and rested an hour or so and then our step grandson came over with his wife and their 3 month old baby son.  We got to hold him a lot during the three hours they were here and I took a lot of pictures.  He looks so much like his father did when he was little.  This was the nicest visit we have had with our grandson and his wife and we really enjoyed it.

Our daughter has spent the day in the ER as had a blister on one of her feet that this morning was all bloody and didn't look good.  She has neuropathy and has no feeling in her feet and is a very severe diabetic so feet sore are a very serious matter.  She called about 4 pm and was still in the ER but has been on a heart monitor as her heart rate was 132 when they took it.  She said they may keep her all night and we haven't heard anymore from her.  She only had a few minutes left on her cell phone.  This was going to be here last day or two working at the IRS for this tax season.  We know she is in God's good hands but are certainly concerned.  Please say a little prayer for her this night.

I will have more time to write tomorrow.

Pat

Hello everyone...

We're not that long in.  We went to Niagara Falls and area today with cousins from Spain.  We had a wonderful day.  Tomorrow we'll be going to St. Jacobs, Ontario with them in order for them to see the Mennonite country and then they fly back to Spain tomorrow evening.

Hi Pat and everyone.  Pat give the cousins our love and let them know ew are praying for safe travels.

Larry I will be praying for your daughter.  Sounds so serious.

Amen Al,  Church hopping because you are looking for endorsement for a lifestyle especially, is so dangerous.  How many times do we act like teanagers, stomp our feet and run away from home, just because we cannot "get our own way".  I am have seen a dear brother leave church and quit any church for this reason.  Takes a gutsy pastor to preach against sinful lifestyles, and address issues within the church, and society.  so often they preach a social gospel to appease the masses.  That is not the Gospel that Christ preached.

Ruth and Ruth Ann, Enjoy the freedom that retirement gives.  Our dad often said that he was busier retired than he was when he was employed.  There was a difference, retired he could say no to what he didn't want to do and could do what he enjoyed.  I pray it will be the same with you.

Liz, Grisham is one of my favourit authors.  Yes I will get the book.  Have you read any Ted Decker?  If not try Black, Red, White.  Terrific analogies!

Those of you who are encountering weather related problems, thank God that you and yours are safe.

The weather here has at last turned to beautiful.  The temperatures have risen and we will soon be swimming.  I have the lawns to mow today, not a job I look forward to today, i would rather be sewing.  It will be good to be outside though.  To those who have encouraged me to start quilting, I have.  I am working on an applique butterfly quilt.  "Monarch's and More"  I am learning and streatching.  This is out of my comfort zone!.

Have a great day folks God bless

I agree brother Al, you know a tree (which is what we are compared to) in order to grow, needs to have it's roots grow deep, if it does not it will be weak, and die.
I know of too many Christian brothers and sisters that when they are offended are to quick to go to another Church rather than find out how God will bring victory through the conflict.
People try to find the perfect house of worship, yet fail to remember that every church is filled by people, and if you seek to get the approval of man you will be disappointed.
I Started serving God at the same place that God had placed me, and unless God moves me from that place, I will not allow people to be the reason of going somewhere else.  :newbie:

  Hello, everyone;

I had a blast this morning. My dad took Courtney and I to a few locations to take some pics.

First, we went to the little park next to the Hood Canal Bridge, in Port Ludlow. Then we went to a spot were there is a small pond, and got a few more pics.

Finely, we went to the beach next to Fort Worden.

I'll post some of my pics later.

Hi everyone. That means HI EVERYONE !!!!

Not much new here, Took the dogs for their walks, did some laundry, cleaned house and will be coloring my hair as soon as I finish this cuppa Green Jasmine Tea.

My Client's husband is still inthe hospital so he still needs our prayers. His white count is still too high and they are trying to find out why. Plus one of the cultures they did is still growing and they want to find out what that is too.

I took two shopping bags and a box of stuff to the Hospice thrift shop today. I was cleaning out my closet,  still more to go. I need to get my downsizing done, so I will be ready to pack up to move when the time comes. Big decisions still to come, nothing settled yet.

Larry B. - Amen!  It's a little bit like family members saying, "I'm not a member of this family anymore.  I'll go to another one."  That would be considered strange indeed, yet that's what many do.  We are committed to a family, and love to the other members is the only acceptable demeanor.

Steady rain all day!  At least it makes the grass and flowers happy...

I went to the optometrist today for my yearly eye exam and six month check of glaucoma, etc.  Have decided to not go back to the medical eye doctor as he nearly ruined my eyes.  Unfortunately, only part of the exam is now covered by our wonderful medical system, and one test not at all.  Decided to get sunglasses that cover my existing glasses when I am out walking or in the garden.  Eye swells from the wind we are always getting now the trees are gone in the area.  Will wear my smaller clip-ons for regular use.  Cost of all this was $177.00.  Ouch!!!!!  The other medical clinic has equipment that is horribly outdated.  Also, this dr. uses a surgeon in Victoria for catarracts, so will go there when it gets worse.  That is also a relief!

Judy, I have not read any Ted Dekker books, but went online and ordered two from the library.  So will look forward to that!  If you like mysteries, Julia Spencer Fleming writes good books, with a  Reverend Clare Fergusson series that I enjoy very much.

I doubt that there will ever be a perfect church.  Unfortunately, so many seem to self destruct from within.  Have experienced more than a little of that in the past 40 yrs.  When at all possible, it is best to stay and try to look past the people......

Daily Bread had a nice little poem:

The lessons we learn from our failures
Are lessons that help us succeed,
And if we are wise and we heed them,
Then failure is just what we need. —D. De Haan

Learn from your failures, or you will fail to learn.
                        :)

Will look forward to some more pictures, Scotty.

Pleasant Day/Evening and God Bless.

Hi Liz...

We're in the midst of a big lightening and thunder storm right now and the latest weather alert said to be careful about tornadoes.

We're just going to do our devotional here and then try to get an early night.  Today was a very busy day saying farewell to our Spanish cousins.  We had such a wonderful time.

Hi everyone.  I am writing from the Saturn dealers where I am having a routine oil change done.  Pat had planned on coming with me to get a blood test she needs to have done to check on the high blood pressure medicine she has started taking.  However, something came up and she will have a doctor's appointment on Monday so will do the blood test then.

Our daughter is still in the hospital.  She has been told she has a very serious infection in her foot and that if they don't get it under control she well could lose her foot.  She thinks they wiill let her go home today (she has been there for 3 days) and she has an appointment on Monday to see the regular medical staff about the infection.  This would likely have been her last week to work and, of course, she hasn't been able to, so won't have to deal with that next week.

Last evening Pat's sister called to say their only living uncle had passed away after having a bleeding ulcer and then a massive stroke.  We would like to go back to Missouri for the services but don't think it is wise to leave here at this time with the situation with our daughter as she may need our help in getting around during the next few days.

It is very hot here the last few days and is expected to get into the high 90s today and tomorrow.  This evening we are meeting friends for dinner and then we will go to one of the friend's home to play the domino game.

Ruth, have you retired?  I know that retirement is pending for Ruth Ann.

Pat and Paul, maybe you can catch your breath now that your visitors have returned home.

I have read all the postings but will not try to post to individuals today.

JudyB

G'day folks.  Not muc hgoing on today, I am at work, and it is quiet.  I have a project I want to sew, and because I am allowed to do that at work I will get started on it today.

We are to have rain, rain, and more rain this weekend, to end on Tuesday when I go back to work.  Seems like my off days will all be rainy.  them wll be up n the 80's though so that will be nice.

Hi Gord...   We were so much longer in the Falls area than we had planned so were very late.  We did the whole "tour" if you know what I mean.  We ended up in Niagara-on-the-Lake and then home at dark.

We'll drop in for sure one day though.

I enjoyed the video, too, Colin. Thank you for sharing part of the visit with us.

Hi to each of you. It's very warm and kinda steamy here in Nashville. But, since they're having the country music Fan Fair this weekend, I'm certain everyone participating (performers and fans alike) are extremely thankful it's not pouring down rain! I remember seeing the news reports one year where literally everyone there was drenched, but still having a great time.

Today I went back to Social Security to get the final papers filed.

Now's time to begin concentrating on moving my keepsakes home, preparing to host(ess) my boss and my major client who are coming in on Thursday of next week, and, generally getting ready to relax the last week or so of work.

Ahhhhhhh - wow! that sigh felt good. I think that relaxing is already beginning.  ^-^
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Nice to see Slemish, Colin.  Wow, takes me back in time for sure.  What lovely trips I've had up Slemish in days gone by.

:)  Thanks for the great pictures Colin I dont know if I have ever been to Sleemish but it looks great and the country around it makes one homesick for the old country.

Hi to all I was at a banquet tonight for the mission that I volunteer at and we had a beautiful meal with all the trimmings and then we had a ladies quartet and were they good and they sung some of the good old songs it was good to be ther.  My wife Noreen could not go as this afternoon she got a spasim  in her back and could hardly move so she stayed home.
Today is the hottest day we have had in a long time my temprature gauge outside my back window was reading 92 farenheight and very humid.

Well must go to sleep as I have praise team practise tomorrow may the Lord be with you all this weekend God Bless. :coffee:

Thanks to all who commented on the video. I dont know how to post them in here without going through Godtube first of which Jeannine and I are members. These videos will eventually be seen on our website as well. I have worn out a pair of shoes walking this countryside of mine with Jeannine and she has lost a stone in weight! But we did feed her well and she had a brilliant time here. I think it only rained once on us and the first day we went round the Antrim Coast Road it was very misty but beautiful inland.
I shall try and post more videos when I can and I am sorry for those who cant view them because they are on dial up or whatever.

Take care everyone and God bless

Ps Pat....if I dont get time to take my album off you can do the honours. I know Jeannine and I have thousands of pics. we would like to put up in the new albums! <3

Hi everyone.  It is going to be a hot and humid day in Georgia.   I noticed condensation on the kitchen window so know the humidity must be us.

We had a nice evening.  We ate out a the Snellville Diner and then played dominos until about 9 am at one of the couple's home.  We also enjoy these evenings as they are relaxed and we just have fun, although last night everyone seemed a little tired.  I think that may be because the Diner was hot as their air-conditioner on one side was not working.

Colin, very nice video.  Was that your wife with Jeannine?

Scotty, I enjoyed your pictures.  They have a quiet and serene feel to them.

Ruth Ann, you will probably feel the tension fade away.  It is nice to not be controlled by the clock, although I still am to some extent but of my own choosing.

Judy, hope your sewing project went well yesterday.  Glad you are able to do it while on the job.  It would be fine to send some of that rain this way.

Pat, it sounds like you all had a busy but fun day.

Thank you all for your concerns expressed for our daughter.

Jeannine and I went to Glenariff Glen and strolled around the riverside walk. We had to go back another day to do the forest part of it. Larry that is indeed my wife who thought our trips were too daunting for her so she stayed at home most of the time.

Take care.

Ohhh, you are making me so homesick, Colin!  Wow!  How often I've been in that area!  Did you tickle any trout?

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Colin

I did tickle trout Pat who thought I was trying to make a cod out of them :uglystupid: Not really Pat! That was the only day that rained on us when we were coming back up from the river. I will tell you what we did see one day Pat and that was an otter catch a trout in the rive Maine near Cullybackey. He caught it and took it up on to the bank and then back into the water again. It was one of those times I had not the video camera with me and Jeannine tried her best to capture it on her camera. It was an awesome sight!

Some more video to make you misty Pat!
