JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Good Morning; Where is everyone from the Eastern states?  Must be busy this morning.

Liz yes it is nice to have someone to spend sometime with. Soon I will be traveling to Oregon for a couple of days.  Getting the car ready for the trip. This weekend it is my grandson's 9th birthday, his party is going to be at Round Table pizza in Arcata this year. He wants some Star Wars legos; So I have to see what I can find.

I do appreciate everyones prayers and love, I want you all to know that I am a big girl and can handle myself with dignity and not jeopardize my salvation. Keith is a gentleman and a very nice man.

Not much is else new here. It is cold.

Janet~ I have never heard of such a thing as picketing a funeral...especially by a so called church.  (I don't watch the news much) I would call that bunch of evil-doers a cult!  And what a sad time for your community, let alone knowing that there are picketers outside.  And the survivor.  God Bless her.  She sure didn't do anything intentionally unless it was trying to do what was right...getting back to school after getting flowers for her Mother's birthday!  Do keep us informed.

Scotty ~ And don't forget the first 10% is tithing...the next 10% is saving.  THEN, you can spend the rest!

Larry ~ So far, I haven't noticed anything missing from what I did before the restoring.  Just that it restored three things that I removed...all Java stuff.  I had three updates for Java and removed the two oldest.  There was two updates for something Runtime and removed the oldest.  But I restored them and my sound came back on my games.  Other sound was okay...  ???  I, a lot of times, wish you lived in the vicinity to ask you questions and come over and fix my computer!!

Bright and sunny in Indiana but cold...still only 38°F but suppose to get to 52°F.  Kitty and I may go to Indy today to see one of my classmates that is in the heart hospital...not doing very good at all.

I'm thinking it's too bad our politicians don't read CP!  We could tell them a lot about how to fix the problems they have created!!  8)

I need to get to the home to visit Beth, so just stopping in to say good morning before I leave.

Thank you all for your concerns about the girls' families and the surviving girl.  It has been a terrible week for this community.

Liz, hope they get with the program and get that work done--quickly!!  Don't you just wonder if it is worth it?

Ruth Ann, you will feel better for sure when you can get enough sleep.  I'm having problems sleeping, not for lack of time, just can't sleep.  :(

See you all later!

Hi everyone.  It is a beautiful day here and suppose to get up to 74 degrees and the sun is shining.  It will be cooler tomorrow.  After coffee this morning we went walking but I only made 14 laps before bringing on some chest pain so stopped.  I then spent a couple of hours this morning with a good friend who came by.

I have decided to buy a new laptop, as I mentioned yesterday.  I am going to call and see if the store still has the unit in stock before making the trip to the mall.  If they do I plan on going up and looking a it and if ok getting it.

Tonight is choir practice.

Hello everyone!

It's about 47 degrees here in Idaho right now and sunny.  I thought I'd stop in and read some of what's been up with you all.  So sorry to hear of the horrible accident and that even more horrible church and their picketing of the funerals!  Rest assured, "God is not mocked."  He will surely deal with them.  I pray for the victims' family members.

I am happy to report I that have found some tricks to help with my vision, from an online support group.  I'm using special eyedrops that help dry up the water retention that occurs overnight.  That, in turn, helps with my vision because the swelling goes down and watery eyes dry up.  (in the afternoon I have the opposite problem and use wetting drops because they dry up and cause more strain and stress on my eyes) Unfortunately, this is only a temporary help for my vision overall.  I am looking at corneal transplants in the not too distant future.  I also found some glasses that help with glare that I can use indoors or out and even helps with the computer screen.  I also was taught a quick trick to make the pages bigger all around on the web so I can read more without severe eyestrain and resulting migraine.  Please pray for me as I look for the right and competant Dr. to do the surgery and help me on this journey to new vision.  Also as we search for insurance coverage and then have to wait the 12 months to be covered for the Fuchs' Dystrophy and finances as we pay out of pocket for appointments in the meantime.  We're waiting on a review and raise for my husband, so please pray it happens soon.

I have been busy working on processing my photos from my Exotic Mexico cruise and also creating a new business blog for my website.  You can check it out at http://shotsnthoughts.blogspot.com/.  I welcome your comments.  There are some pictures from my trip of the Cliff Divers that are pretty cool.  They were an awesome sight to see!  They're crazy, but they're cool.  I also have a new personal blog that's been fun to do.  You can see it at http://jugglesnstruggles.blogspot.com/

My family is doing well and looking forward to the colors of spring, after a long monochromatic winter.  My oldest daughter was the joker of the day, yesterday for April fools, getting both her sister and myself on several occasions.  I guess my younger daughter and myself have a year to think of ways to get her back in 2009, hu?  haha

Well, you all have a great day!  Love and prayers, Kathleen

I honestly think Westboro makes God cry.  I looked at their website, and I'm wondering how in the name of pete, someone who is commanded to "Love your neighbor as yourself," can build a church on hate AND use the language that they use.  Of course, they probably rationalize it away.  Wonder how they explain it if someone from their church gets sick and dies or is tragically killed?

Janet

Good question, Karma.

Kathleen, best wishes and prayers for your eyesight.

I'm tired, so not talking much tonight.  Guess I'm all talked out.  :-X

Jane, I hadn't read the thing about the Stethoscope.  I loved it.  I'm saving it to send to the family.

Also..........Taadaah!!  Someone is having a birthday tomorrow.  I saw it on my calendar last night. :)   As young as you look, JANE, you might as well just fib and make it your 60th. :)  I should be taking you to lunch.  After this fast is over and I start eating real food again, I'll do just that.  Our coupons for the digital tv thing came today.  We have until June to get our boxes.

I've been working on the other computer.  I gave it to my sis, and it was all messed up by the time she was done.  She couldn't fix it, and I couldn't over there, and she had another one, so I brought it home and played around until it's back to ok and networked to this computer (sharing internet).  I guess the only reason I did that was just to see if I could.  I like piddlin' around with computers. lol

Marilyn, are you coming to see your friend?  Let me know when you'll be in Coos Bay and if things work out right, maybe we can meet.  With the baby, and only having one car, I have to plan ahead of time.  It shouldn't be that way as it's my car, but .....well........sometimes the only way to get alone time is to let Angel take the car.  And other times, it's doctor's apps, etc.

I blabbed away, so will hush for now.  Nita

Hello everyone, we got snow again yesterday. :excited: But it only lasted five minutes.  :-[ :snowman:
It was sunny today. I even mowed my neighbors  lawn today. I get big money for that! $15! of course, after I tithe there's $13.50. But hey, that works for me! :D

           Have a nice night.

Scotty, it's so refreshing to read your post and realize that you tithe, etc.

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Good Morning Everyone...

It's a lovely day here in Guelph!  The sun is shining and it's not too cold.  Now, if only all the snow would melt, I'd be so happy.

I'm off to Virginia on a very fast trip on Apr. 16 and then on to Pensacola, Florida.  Then straight back.  Talk about living in a car!!!    One of the nice things will be to get to meet with Larry and Pat in Georgia.  It's been a long time since we've seen each other.

Larry ~ I put your number into my cell phone so that if I am out and about and see a good price on a computer, I can call you and see if the innards is what I need for photography and such.

Kathleen ~ I hope you know that you can increase the size of text by holding down Ctrl and scrolling up or down.  I do that all the time.  Better on the eyes if you can see and read readily!  And your pictures are gorgeous!

Well, it isn't sunny and warm today in Indiana.  Cloudy and 43°F.  And suppose to have thunderstorms this afternoon.  I need to go to the bank and will probably have lunch out somewhere.  Better go get changed.

:)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)  :)

Good tip about enlarging the text, Etta Sue.

Thanks, Nita, for 'membering  :-[   I aint gonna fib though.  In fact I wrote a little ditty for me!

Oh my ... oh me...
The calendar says I'm seventy-three
Now, just how can that be true?
Yesterday I was seventy-two.

It's been a long road that got me here
Y'all gather 'round and give a cheer
Hooray for me
I'm seventy-three!

:cheer: :cheer:

BTW~I need you to come piddle with my computer.   :-\  I don't have a Flash Player any more and, for some reason, can't download it, either.

Pat, drive safely!  I know I don't have to tell you that, but I just wanted to.    ;)

Good afternoon, friends!

It's a balmy 45 degrees and clear skies here in Idaho today.  haha

Etta Sue-That's one of the tips I got and it's helping me a lot.  I didn't even think about making the text bigger, I just kept squinting more and more and getting headaches a lot sooner.  Duh!  Sometimes I feel brilliant.  :uglystupid:  I guess it's pretty common for people to adjust to vision getting worse instead of doing things to help see better.

Jane-Happy Birthday!  Love your diddy you wrote!

Well, I'm off!  You all have a lovely day and thanks so much for your nice comments about my photos and especially for your prayers!  God is faithful!

Blessings, Kathleen

Kathleen:  Praying for you to find the perfect doctor and the latest and best techniques.

We didn't exercise this morning - and, instead ran errands and shopped between the snow/sleet/rain.  It is beginning again and Don has a coffee date at 4 this afternoon with his retired pastor friend.  We bought two mugs at the store that are mocha coffees - here is the difference.  The mug of liquid (cocoa in some cases) will heat up when you press a spot.  We thought of trying it and see how good it works and then have some on hand while traveling or fishing instead of bringing the thermos.  $1 at the store.  I can spill a full thermos and cup of coffee - my famous oops on most of our trips.

Lots of problems with our computer and also with Yahoo this week - disturbing.  We are switching to cable next week.  If things keep happening, I am not ready but may have to buy a new laptop.

I bought some fabric to make two pillowcases for one son's cabin - it has a group of wolves - and that DIL loves wolves.

Larry:  Best to stop when you have any discomfort and you know your limits.  You certainly do get around and keep busy.  I do hope that Pat will be able to stop and visit on her trip through Georgia.

;D Scotty. A mean blogna sandwich. Well ya can't mess that  up.  I sure would like to have your camera. I have been checking it out on the internet. I found one that comes in with an extra lens but can't remember what power the telescopic lense was. That is a great piece of equipment you have.

Thanks at that is one of the very first card I made when I got my  PSP 8 at least 4 years ago. I upgraded to PSP9 when that  came but haven't upgraded any further. I think they may have PSP12 out now.
