Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Right now I'm re-reading the Left Behind series.  And I'm enjoying it just as much now as I did the first time.   :D

I enjoyed that series as well.

Hi everyone.  It is an overcast day and we had fog early this morning.  Yesterday afternoon we had a heavy rain.  Today is suppose to be pretty warm.  I just got back from coffee at McDonald's with the men and then made a quick trip to Kroger.  Pat is having trouble with a muscle in her hip and it is very painful for her to walk or sit upright.  She will be staying in today.

Carol, I think I missed something because didn't realize you were back in Arizona.  Do you plan to winter there this coming season?

Jeanne, I remember when the "Left Behind" series came out.  I couldn't wait to read each of the books.  I like books that continue the characters in a series.  Years ago I enjoyed the John Jakes books and also a series of books by Dana Ross as they both carried forward some of the characters.

Etta Sue, I agree with you that it is nice to have a day once in a while where there is nothing on the schedule.

Nita

Good morning from rainy Oregon.  We had hard rain yesterday too, Larry.  Sometimes it seems like it will just never stop.   I know those who are concerned with fighting summer fires are grateful for the rain now, and I sure don't want to be a complainer, so I won't. :)

I'm having an "unscheduled" kind of day.  Kaleb is with his mom this weekend.  Of course, with the dogs, nothing is totally unscheduled.  They like to get out in the morning, eat when it's time, go to bed when it's time, etc. lol  In fact, these little critter companions are daily schedulers, and it's all about them.

Right now I'm praying that God will touch each of us in a special way today.

Nita

Yesterday was long and fun...doing whatever pops in my head to do.  I worked on my Bible Name Pronunciations (ready for 'N' now), watched TV and that's about it!

I no more than got up this morning and the phone rang.  One of my classmates works at Walmart in the financial department from 5am to 9am and she wanted us to go somewhere for breakfast.  So I met her at a local place in Lapel at 9:30am.  I think half of Lapel showed up at the Bulldog Corner this morning!  Busy place!  Judy and I had a great breakfast and conversation.

Then I took somethings to church and loaded them on the computer.  Nice to have a key even though it took me awhile to lock the door when leaving.  New key!

Now I am home and nothing on the agenda for the rest of the day.  I need to check on Ivalou since I didn't talk to her all day yesterday!

I wish that others would have problems posting.  This time I clicked 'Preview' on the previous post.  Then clicked 'Post' and nothing.  I 'stopped loading' it by clicking the 'X' in the browser and then I couldn't do anything.  I saved my reply by copying it.  I closed out the window and clicked on the email notification again.  When I got to the Thoughts, my post was posted!  Weird!!   :idiot:   :clobber:   :uglystupid:

Etta Sue, that happens to me a lot, but I just assumed it was because I'm on dial-up .... always have trouble on some sites with freezing up and getting dumped ...  I have, just recently, installed Firefox and I can use it for most things except for here ... I have to use IE for here and my Hotmail email stuff.   :-\    One of these daze I hope to get a new computer and even DSL.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Jane - do you people up there have Suddenlink available?  They do telephone, TV, and internet.  You can get them all together as a bundle, which we have done, and it brings significant savings that way.  By having internet that way, it's faster even than DSL. It's definitely the best I've ever had.

JudyB

I too have had that problem.  When I do I dump my cookies..  I assume if that doesn't clear it it is Dial up and I shut down for a while.  When I come back things have straightened out.  For me the problem is cookies and Dial up.

What is trust?

Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned anyone who searches for you.

Psalm 9:10 NLT

Trust involves letting go and knowing God will catch you.

Al we have Charter up here in Oregon, When I talked to them about getting  internet with extended cable they told me it would be $74.95 for 6 months then go up to $105.
No thank you. we pay $31.99 for High speed DSL from \Verizon and $20 for Extended cable. They told me that we have basic cable but Keith has had the same thing for many years. I think he is baying for basic cable.

Darrel has the History channel on, and they just talked about what the Hebrew Bible says about manna.  Then some guy, educated beyond his intellect, explained that what really happened was that the Hebrews stole a manna machine from the Egyptians.  They had a drawing and a mock-up of this supposed machine, and it seems they believe it could manufacture some kind of green algae which is very high in food value.  The machine was also very dangerous, as it emitted radiation which caused severe burns, etc.  So they carried it in the Ark of the Covenant, that being the reason they were forbidden to touch the Ark.   :P  How do they come up with this stuff???  Good grief.

Anyhoo....I have been away again for a couple of days.  Went to Wichita to our National Painting Convention.  It was fun; and I stretched myself by doing some media I don't usually work with, that being colored pencils and watercolor.  Then we (my friend Winona and I) attended the banquet last night, which was really fun.  I got home at 2:00 this morning.  We got up and went to pick up our Prairie Pak (food we ordered through the senior center) then attended a breakfast for the grandson of some friends.  There are so many graduation receptions that they decided to have a breakfast rather than an afternoon or evening reception.  Good idea.

After all that, I took a nice nap, and Darrel went to the hospital for todays infusion of Rocefin.  He went to his urologist yesterday, and is pretty disgusted with the whole process.  We just HAVE to get something done for him!!

I am so far behind with emails I may never catch up!  Now I am getting dozens of them (forwards) from the people we met on the Costa Rica trip.  While I love getting them, they take so much time going through them!

Nita, it is sure good to see you here again!  How old is Kaleb?

Gotta get busy again.  See you later.

Well I went garage sale shopping.  Got some really good deals for both John and I.

It is a beautiful day, sun is shining through some puffy clouds.  We are expecting and needing some rain hopefully tonight not in the day.  Night time rains seem to be better on the gardens.

John is on his way home now. I expect him about 6:30 and we will head into N.Bay.  I picked up a monitor for Heather for $3.00, she needs it for a computer for our 10 year old grand daughter. Kids are getting computers younger and younger.

I have all the dogs tied outside.  They have plenty of water and food, but the princess...Cimi isn't impressed.

Pat is off helping Andrew and his family move.  The whole lot of her family and Andrews wife's family are involved in the work.  It is so nice when family works together like this.

Well I am off.  See y'all tomorrow.

I am thinking that it is my graphics that either CP or Photobucket doesn't want me to use.  I don't have time to mess with posting this morning.  No graphics/animations today.

Yesterday was fun.  I got the Bible Names Pronunciations done!!  Now I want to make it 'landscape' and then when printed and folded in half it is like a book.  I have to put my thinking cap on to figure that out!  18 pages.  9 if printed front and back

Today, of course, is church and I have no idea what else.  Bright and sunny and the birds are letting me know how much they are enjoying the warmth and sunshine by their singing!

JudyB

Etta Sue are you giving the meanings of the names as well?  That would be awesome to see.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  Since I don't go to coffee on Sunday morning I was able to sleep a little longer, which was nice.  Pat will not be attending church or the choir party we have this evening as a muscle in her hip has been in spasms for two days now and isn't feeling much better today.  She was taking muscle relaxants and Tylonol yesterday and spent a good part of the day laying down and sleeping.  Hope by tomorrow she is feeling much better.

Janet, glad to see you back and posting.  I have never heard such a far-fetched story in my life as what the man was saying about manna.  I guess if our goal is to explain away the miracles of God then the human mind will concoct something but this is really far out.  Sorry to hear that Darrel is getting no results from his efforts to help his medical problem.  That would be very discouraging.

Janet

Good morning!  It is nearly time to leave for Sunday School, but I stopped by to greet all of you.

Larry, I certainly agree about that being far fetched.  The program went on and on trying to explain away other miracles of God, and giving lots of credit to "early extra-terrestrials" having come to earth and mixing with humans, etc.  Sheesh.  Now I do know that fallen angels mated with earthly women, which produced the giants we read about in the Bible, so there might be a grain of truth in that part.  We will understand it better by and by, as the old song says!

I must run!  See you later!

Nothing much going on here. Keith's sister from North Carolina will be coming here on Thursday. I have been trying to get the house looking decent and clean. I washed the kitchen window the other day and Keith came home and thought the window as open. LOL

This week's promise: Christ will return
"I will come back"

[Jesus said], "When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know where I am going and how to get there."

John 14:3-4 NLT

Carol

Judy:  Thanks for sending on the promise.

Nita:  Dogs?  I must have missed something.  Did you have dogs (plural) before grandson came to live?  How are you doing?  It is dry and dusty on our entire drive today.

Janet:  I hope Darrel gets an answer on health problems.  How is Beth?  And, your mom?  Glad that you have your hobbies.

We drove all day in construction on the road in New Mexico and it is the same every single year after year.  In AZ, the wind was crazy so it is very good to stop early.

As for AZ, we now have a cozy place that we will use for a few years and then sell when the market gets better - small & easy to walk to so many places.  Now to find a church to attend for those times.

AZ people are feeling isolated & really angry now - there are only a few helicopters for the border patrol to use because rest are in Iraq - there are a lot of issues.
