Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Hi everyone.  We have an overcast day with some possible rain in the forecast.  Yesterday I got the router I ordered but will have to return it as it would work with the Comcast.  So I went up to the local Comcast store and ended up coming home with a Gateway combination modem and router.  I got it set up last evening, wasn't difficult for took an hour or so.  This morning I have been searching for the USB cord for my HP Printer and finally called my friend and just got back from borrowing his cable so maybe will now be able to install the printer. I had a really good time at the retiree's luncheon.  We had only six but were able to all join in the same conversation and sort of went down memory lane recalling different people most of us had known.  Nothing else on the schedule for today other than more work on getting everything working with the new network.

Carol, I am not sure I can use the new washer we got as it has a lot of settings.  So far I haven't tried.  Think I have learned how to turn the stove and oven on and off.  I think there is a point where the appliances and cars and electronics are getting too complex.  Glad you had no bad effects from the chocolate.  :)

Ruth, glad you figured out why you are feeling like the flu is coming back.  However, very important to keep your blood thin as you heal.    Good for you on your walking.

Pat

Found this lovely photo of Chris Saunders out there on Facebook and thought I'd share it with you  Such a lovely little robin.   And what a wonderful message!!

Hi everyone.  I got up early this morning as woke up and knew I wasn't going back to sleep so might as well get something useful done.  Had to get a birthday card ready for our granddaughter's 32nd birthday on Tuesday.  I did get my printer installed as a wireless one after I borrowed the right USB cable from my good friend Rod.  It was a busy day yesterday.  Today we attend our last play of the season at the Aurora Theater.  We have enjoyed the series of plays but pretty sure we won't renew for another year as health issues make attendance problematic.  I expect we will eat out this evening after a busy afternoon.  We had just a little bit of rain late yesterday afternoon and have a 50% chance of showers during the day today.  Fortunately, at the theater we park in a covered garage and have a direct entrance into the theater so won't have to be out in the rain, if it happens.

Pat, that is a beautiful picture and thanks for sharing it.

Ruth

Good afternoon:

Larry:  we like the advanced features but when all is said and done the basic is what works best and is also what we understand the most.

I need to shorten a pair of drapes so off I go to get the  white thread a needle  tape measure then sit down with the drapes and soon the job will be done.   One would think I am starting to feel a lot better.

Have a great afternoon.

Good for you Ruth.

After a month of not having a land line I have found out we can make it on cell phones.  However today the repairman came and told us what we already knew.  The problem is the line to our house, not inside like they were trying to tell us, Hopefully our phone will be fixed soon.

Have a great weekend folks and Happy Mothers day to all the Mom's and Grandmom's and Great Grandmom's that are here!

Judy, at least you finally go someone to check your phone line who knew what he was talking about!

Right now I'm stuffed!  I put together a chef salad and when I got everything added I wanted in it, it was huge!  So I ate half of it and saved half for tomorrow and I"m still stuffed.   :D

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

I've really enjoyed reading the posts since I was last here.

My children from Georgia sent a beautiful bouquet of lilac and white tulips mixed with lilies.  Oh, how beautiful it is on my table! And, my son in law has already wished me a happy Mothers Day. There's only one son in law, and he's my favorite. :)

Larry, usually the office will hold a package when it comes for a resident.

Love to all,
Ruth Ann

Hi everyone.  We are going to have a beautiful Mother's Day here in Georgia.  At church time it is suppose to be 74 degrees and go up to 84 degrees by late afternoon.  Once again I will be going to church by myself.  This will be the last sermon brought to us by our Associate Pastor as her contract terminates at the end of May.  We were not at all unhappy with her as a pastor but our Session felt the church needed to go in a different directions and she was fully supportive.  She will continue to be paid for up to six months as she seeks another pastorate.  We enjoyed the play yesterday but Pat and I were both pretty tired when we got home.  I am pretty sure we won't renew our season tickets for next year.  The rest of the day will be spent resting.  I wish all of the Mother's a Happy Mother's Day.

Ruth, when we come right down to it we basically want a car to take us from one point to another and be reliable.  The other features are nice but really unnecessary--however, I don't want to give up what I am used to.  I do hope your wanting to do some sewing work does indeed mean you are feeling better.

Judy, we found not having a house phone and using cell phones exclusively took a little getting use to but there are some real advantages if you keep the phone with you.

Jeanne, I love chief salads but I know what you mean when you start out with what seems like a small salad and the next thing you know it is huge.

Ruth Ann, your flowers sound beautiful.  The flowers our son and DIL sent to Pat are just about bloomed out and very pretty.
