Good  evening to all and praise his name for an other day :)

God is so awesome and so good how he continually looks after his children <3

Yesterday I was able to go to the Cardiologist and he wants to a lot more tests.  It seems to get to the point where you get fed up and wonder if it is all Worth it.  I was reading in a magazine today of the testimony of different people who have used natural products and are feeling so much better that even there doctors cannot understand what has happened.

May the Lord be with all who are in the need of prayer for yourself or for family I pray that he the Lord will touch each one and renew strength in there bodies.  Good night.  Gord and Noreen. <3

I have been up for hours with an itch in my neck area.  It is all from wearing a newly knitted scarf - and I have actually been knitting another one for myself.   :(

Last night, I had to make up a story about where I was going.  I had to buy groceries for Saturday's surprise party and used cash in order to keep this quiet.  Most of it is in son's refrigerator they keep in the garage.  This is getting difficult and I can't wait for all to be over.

Larry:  I surely hope that Stacey uses her walker even for the short jaunts - her condition sounds so fragile as far as the bone problem.  Let us hope and pray for good news on this checkup.  As for the terrible money ready to be thrown away in our country - it is just shocking news more and more each and every day.  I don't think these so-called leaders and experts have been schooled in realistic terms.

Janet:  Are you getting back into your "normal" life?

Happy Trails to you..... does anyone remember the song from  Roy Rogers and Dale Evans?

JudyB

Happy trails to you
Until we meet again
Happy trails to you,

Not sure what comes next.

Had a good night last night, slept right away and slept soundly.  I must have been more tired than I thought.

Pat is Paul getting rested up?

Today I have a class,  teaching a young lady how to sew.  She is a quick study but lacks confidence.  A lovely young lady though.

I must run was a little later getting in today so have a bit to get caught back up.

Have a great day everyone.

We had a great trip to Metamora.  The two restaurants that we thought we could eat at were both closed...one was even for sale.  So we found a place with sandwiches.  Probably a two thirds of the stores were closed so I got the GPS out and we went north.  I knew this one town had an antique mall and a candle shop.  We got to the candle shop first and found out it was a new building with lots and lots of Christmas items to buy and of course, candles!  The rest of the way home I drove in the rain.  At least, it waited until we were in the car.

Today is our 60 Chix.  That is always fun.

Tomorrow morning I am having a plumber come and replace some copper tubing that has a small leak in it in the basement.  Always something!

I have been up for hours with an itch in my neck area.

I surely do remember that song.  It is a pleasant memory of my childhood.  For those in the Branson, Mo area, the Roy Rogers Museum has been moved there from Victorville, Ca.

Lyrics to "Happy Trails" by Dale Evans Rogers

Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.
Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.

Happy trails to you, until we meet again.
Happy trails to you, keep smilin' until then.
Who cares about the clouds when we're together?
Just sing a song and bring the sunny weather.

Happy trails to you, 'till we meet again.

As for the itchy neck, I use an over the counter product called:

Hydrocortisone Ointment
1% anti-itch

Just rub it on the itchy spot and it stops itching.

Thank you for the words to that song.  Wow tallk about a trip back in time!  My Girlfriend would stay at our place for a couple of weeks each summer and before we would do dishes we would watch the Roy Rodgers sShow.  Then dishes and outside to play.  This girlfriend is a reverend now in southern Ontario.  What carefree days those were.

Hi everyone.  It is a misty and chilly morning but the rain is suppose to clear out later in the day.  I have to make another trip to Atlanta today to take Stacey to see the foot doctor at the hospital annex.

Today has three friends here to play some games and enjoy lunch together. She is serving a cheese potato soup in bread bowls she prepared yesterday.  I went ahead and make my lunch so I won't bother them as they play.  I just need to grab it out of the refrigerator.  I will have to leave around noon to get downtown.

My very good friend, Rod, has been a huge fan of Roy Rogers and things Western.  He recently attended a film festival in California that he has attended often where the old stars of the Western appear.  He has lots of collectibles but is slowly selling them via eBay.

Yesterday, Rod called me on Skype from Australia and he has a webcam built into his traveling computer and I was seeing him in his hotel room and he turned the cam around and pointed it out the window where the ship they will board this afternoon was docked in the harbor.  It is a big ship.  The picture was very clear and there was no problem with the voice communication either way.  He said he had to pay $13 for two hours of Internet time and won't be calling from the ship as it costs $0.75 per minute.  It was nice to talk with him.

Etta Sue, the GPS comes in very handy at times.  I used mine yesterday although it didn't direct me to where it was suppose to but later I used it to get to the hospital and it guided me flawlessly.

Carol, planning special events is a big job, especially if you have to keep it secret.  I am sure it will be great.

Gord, are you going to have to do another stress test or Echocardiogram?  Sometimes it seems we get on a treadmill of testing and doctor visits that won't end.

Here's a roadside sign that I found here, in Idaho, that goes along with the song and lyrics, which I also remember.  I think I remember them because of my parents and/or singing experience.  I know lots of old songs that other people my age don't know.  Not sure I would've remembered all of the words, though.

Good road sign.  Did they ever film in that area?  I know they filmed a lot in California, we would often pass the area that is dedicated to them, but never have the time to stop and explore.  I loved the trucking but really missed the "touristy" experiences.

Good morning, everyone!

Thank you to all who prayed for me.  I had a much better night and actually got some rest.  I am breathing a little better today, but the asthma/pneumonia seems to hang on when this happens.  I am so thankful to have slept.  Thank you, thank you brothers and sisters in Christ!

It's raining cats and dogs here where I live.  I love the sound of rain.  I especially loved to hear it on the roof of our travel trailer when we would camp.  My hubby will want to go for a drive and play in the puddles today, no doubt.  Not sure what else we'll do.  It's his vacation, so we will let him decide.

I think that I may have enough energy to make my family some biscuits and gravy and eggs for breakfast today.   :)

Time to go get coffee brewing and the breakfast cooking!  :coffee:  Have a great day everyone!

Thanks.  I keep wanting to straighten the sign, but then the horizon is slanted.  I recall having to take the photo at a funny angle to avoid going on private property.

According to WIKI, "Sweet is an unincorporated town in Gem County, Idaho, United States. It is located approximately 16 miles (26.7 kilometers) northeast of Emmett.
Sweet was established as a post office in 1885 by Ezekiel Sweet. It serves the farming and ranching community of the Lower Squaw Creek Valley."

I know several movies have been filmed in Idaho, but I don't know about filming in Sweet, particularly.  I did find this funny/interesting tidbit of information regarding a film you probably have all at least heard of, that was filmed here.  http://www.snopes.com/movies/films/dynamite.asp

Judy Dale Evans and Roy Rogers Lived and filmed in apple Valley California they had their museum there until their son sold it after Dale's death  in 1999 (I think) Now the museums contents are in Branson Missouri. When I lived in the desert Iwas only about 35 miles from Dales house. One of my clients there knew them very well an and been in some of their movies as a trick rider.

I Have  been busy this morning I finally made it out of the kitchen, where I baked a Butter Pecan cake from a box and made butter cream frosting. Then I baked a batch of oatmeal peanut butter cookies and cleaned up my mess, I have a load in the dryer another in the washer and another waiting to get washed.  When I come up here  grab everything that look like it might need washing even if it doen't and throw it in the washer. This time some of my stuff even got it. The cat attacked my yarn last night whenn I was rcocheting and his claws got my leg enough to draw some blood.

I am crocheting hot pad sets for Christmas, sets of three in different sizes and using a Q hook and 6 skeins of yarn at once. so they are very heavy and multicolored.

I prfer the emails to any of the sites, it is a much more intimate adn we can say what ever we want and not worry about  others reading  it.

I need to call Jaywalker and Nita so I should get back of the computer in a few minutes after I check the rest of my email.

Al and Larry, Darrel and I are listening to/watching all the insanity about government bailouts and wondering just who is going to bail out the government??  Good grief; such astronomical numbers a person can't get his head around it!  Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Sorry about Stacey's foot, Larry.  It does seem that for some of us on here, there is no end to our daughters' problems.

I took Beth an apron today.  She dislikes the "clothes protecters" (bibs) they have at the Home, refuses to wear them, so her clothes get messed up at every meal.  I asked her if she would wear an apron, she said yes; so I got one made for her that is reversible, has no waist ties, and has a velcro fastener on the strap of the bib.  It is in patriotic prints, and she liked it a lot.  Now I will look for more fabrics I think she will like and get at least a couple more made for her.

Carol, what is the occasion for the surprise dinner?  I must have missed your post on that.  Yes, I am getting back to my "normal" life.....what is NORMAL, ANYWAY?  8)

I once visited the Roy Rogers Museum in Apple Valley, California.  It was neat.  And Dale's granddaughter was in Dodge City a few years ago for a performance and she said the museum was being relocated to Branson, Mo.  So maybe I will see those things again one day.

I am almost through typing up the report on our European trip.  If any of you would like to read it, email me and I will email it to you.  It is several pages, so I don't want to post it on here.  But if you have an interest, let me know.  Thanks.

I am trying to organize some of my photos and mementos and be ready for scrapbooking day on Saturday.  Boy, am I behind!!

We are going to Salina for Thanksgiving, then a few days later will go to Albuquerque to Curt's and trade vehicles.  Everything works out, but sometimes we wonder for a while!

Judy, you are making me want to get back to sewing again, but there are only so many hours in our days, and it seems mine speed by on wings!

Time to go crop some photos!

I heard something about the Liberal Government decision on an auto manufacturing bailour.  They won't bail out any of the auto makers unless there is a viable survival plan.  The question is what do they consider viable?

It is a beautiful day here in the north 48 degrees, but oh the forcast for the weekend!  There is a winter weather wathc on for tomorrow.  snow freezing rain and all that goes with it.  This is aparently coming from the north and west, and those of us around the great lakes will get the worse of it.  John's cousin is coming from Ottawa to see Mother, and I am questioning the wisdom of that.  John weill be meeting up with him as well.  Oh well That too is in God's hands.

I must run,Got in later than expected.

The furgirls are wondering what is going on.  I have a plumber in the basement that is replacing sections of copper pipes that are leaking or a potential to leak.  He is noisy and the girls are curious.

Dark and dreary today.  I woke up to a farmer doing something in a cornfield that has been picked.  I guess he knows what he is doing.

If we didn't have the absolute assurance that God is in control, it would be a huge temptation to fear in these days.  Gun sales are soaring, jobs are dwindling, the Democrats are salivating to raise taxes yet again, and those who live on Social Security or retirement plans are wondering if there will be money there for them in a short while!

But God is on His throne, none of this is a surprise to Him, and He has a plan to see a great revival in these end times.  May all of here play a part in that plan!

Our nation has been blessed by God from its inception because it was founded on the Word, and on the proposition that all men are created equal.  The war we are now engaged in will make the great and awful Civil War seem a small thing.  Now is the time to draw near to God and pray for each other, our nation and the world.

I am going to eat with my two Youth Friends at school today, then really need to go spend some time with Beth.  I have been popping in and out, and she is feeling a little neglected, I think.  After lunch will be a good time, as they put her in her recliner after lunch, and she can't do much else but watch TV (or visit with Mom.)   ;)

It has been pretty warm for this time of year here, but today the wind is blowing, so that might bring a change in the weather.

May each of you be blessed today!

Amen Janet.  I was listening to the news today, (I don't often,) and they said the forcast is for a world wide resession for the first 6 months in the new year, but that the last 6 months will bring improvement in the economy.  Also the USA will lead the rise and end of the resession.  So with whatever that means I say "Even so COME Lord Jesus!".

AMEN to what Janet said.

It's clear, sunny and cold here this morning.  Was 31 degrees when I got up.  So, our storm has passed.  This would be a good day for me to go shooting outdoors since the winds will have blown out all the smoke and smog from our valley.  My trouble breathing may keep me from doing so, though.

Hubby and youngest daughter are off four-wheeling in our Jeep today.  Hope they don't get stuck in the mud from all the rain we've had lately.  My eldest daughter and myself will be doing a little cleaning around the house and go to lunch and probably play a few hands of Skip Bo.

GOOD NEWS!  Contrary to what the liberal news media would have us believe, we are not in a recession here in the USA; at least not yet.  We haven't even had one quarter of negative GDP growth yet, and according to the definition of a recession (http://www.investorwords.com/4086/recession.html), it takes two consecutive quarters of negative GDP growth to be considered a recession.  Unfortunately, the liberal news media is all doomsday, hype and lies in order to further their own agenda and have us think otherwise.  They want us to think things are as bad as possible and that we can't survive without the "help" of big brother!  I suggest in addition to praying and trusting in the Lord, (and yes, Praise the Lord that He's still on His throne!) that we all turn off the liberal news and listen to conservative talk radio and do our own research to be informed on what's really going on in the country/world.  Okay, that's it for my soap box for now.

Have a great Friday and a great weekend, everyone!  :)

Kathleen, I never watch the mainline media news shows!  UGH.  And even though we watch/listen to conservative news, I still sometimes think we might be better off not even hearing any of it.  But wouldn't that be akin to burying our heads in the sand?  "The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing."  I know I don't have the answers!

Well, I went to spend some time with Beth, and she was gone to the doctor's office.  So.....another time, I guess.

Did all of you hear about the awful attack of those homosexuals and lesbians on a church in East Lansing last Sunday morning, right during their worship services?  Horrible.

I finished my trip report.  Anyone interested?

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Liz

Another week almost gone....time seems to be zooming past!  A cool day here on the island, no rain for a change.  Had my flu shot yest. and as per usual, feel slightly ill.  So does my daughter.  Guess we fall into the small group who have a reaction to the shot.

I read on the internet about the church Janet mentioned.  Not good.  My 'long lost' friend told me that her oldest son is gay.  He is a brilliant man, law prof. and dean of a large university in another country.  Left the US when his partner of many years, decided to end their relationship.  When she told me this, I tried to dance around the subject.  We are both religious and know what the Bible states.  The children were raised Catholic.  Can not bear to say anything that will cause her pain.  She has always been close to him....more than their other son.  All one can do is be kind and pray for all of them.  It is not something that this person has ever really understood.

Guess I will NOT go and watch the B. Walters program about the man who had his own baby.  Now that should really confuse me and many others.  Why do they give this sort of thing air time?  I saw a clip and it made me feel like we are living on another planet now... :ticked:

Pleasant Evening/Day and God Bless.

Liz

CHANGE NOT THY FAITH WITH CHANGING TIMES

Janet

Liz, I sure understand how you feel.  And I also know how hard it is to skirt the issue of homosexuality, especially in one's own family.  We have one who has chosen that awful way, and when I tried to speak the truth in love, in the most careful way I could, he cut me out of his life completely; told me never to write or speak to him again.  My response was that he could do that, but he could not keep me from praying for him.

On our news last night, they showed the sign outside a church in Wichita, on which the pastor had put:  America now has a Muslim president.  This is a sin before God.  Wow!  I'm sure the ACLU will be all over that!

I am going to the library today to work on scrapbooks.

Jane, I will email you my report.  It's a bit long, but Darrel read it and pronounced it "pretty good."  That's high praise, from him! ;)

I will check back later to see if anyone else is interested in reading about our trip.  I have included quite a lot of information about the churches in Eastern Europe.
