Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Kathleen, even it there was no foliage at all, Glacier would still be amazing!  Have a great time, and travel safely.

Hi, friends,

Another day of busy-ness. :)  So, I won't comment on the postings, but know that I eagerly read and comment, in my brain, if not on screen, and pray for those needing prayer, rejoice with those who are thankful, and ask God's blessings on those who are troubled.

Y'all have a great rest of the day with our Lord.

Hi everyone.  Not much to share this morning as it should be a pretty routine day.  I do have my ROMEO's luncheon at noon and that should be it.  I am ready for a less busy day after the last two.

Kathleen and Ken, I can still recall seeing the Mendenhall Glacier close to Juneau, Alaska and it was quite a site.

Ruth Ann, hope you didn't overdo yesterday with the "busy-ness".  :)

Hi, friends,

Actually, Hi, Larry, and those who may drop by to read but not talk... :)

Yes, I think I may have overdone it yesterday, Larry. At midday yesterday I started to stand up, and my bad leg shifted just a bit, causing serious knee pain. That continues today, though I iced it last night, and will do so again tonight. M

Maybe the reduced movement today will allow it to begin to right itself.

I took my disabled friend for x-rays, then we stopped by and got small Wendy's chili and medium Frosty's for each of us. She's a dear christian friend, and we pray for each other, so it gave us good opportunity for a bit of conversation.

Then, it has been resting and trying to spare that knee the remainder of the day. :)

May God bless all of you real good. :)

Is it just me, or did this week seem to drag on for a long time?  In any event, I am glad the work week has come to a close and to be back home again.  Beautiful fall weather in Wyoming this week, and so far as I am concerned it can stay like this until January :)

Larry, I found some photos of the Mendenhall Glacier on the internet, and Wow! is it impressive.  Alaska is one of the few places outside the continental US that I'd like to see someday.  The "flowing" look of Mendenhall is much different than the parts of Glacier Park that I've seen, but perhaps in the backcountry and up in the Waterton section there are more active looking glaciers.

Ruth Ann, I sure hope you had the vanilla Frosty...they're the best!  Hopefully your resting strategy worked wonders on the aches and pains.

I sure hope everyone has a blessed weekend!

Ken, for me the week has flown by!  That's the difference between a work week and another week of retirement, I guess - or maybe it's just old age.   ;D

Today was promised as "partly cloudy" and a little milder.  However!  Looks like all the cloud parts have gathered right over my area and decided to hang around.  And of course, at this time of year no sunshine means not much warmth.  But I won't really complain - cloudy and 52 F is a lot easier to take than 20 F with 2 feet of snow.    ;)

Hi everyone.  What I thought would be a quiet Saturday morning has turned out to be pretty busy.  As always I went to coffee at McDonald's.  I left there and went over to pick up our Nigerian Grandson, Christian, who wanted to come out again today.  I told him he is now family so just make himself at home.  I told him to be sure to bring his Kindle Fire when he came over, which he had in his backpack, because as he is family he can entertain himself.

As soon as we got back I measured the round table we have on our sun porch and then he and I went to Lowe's Hardware to got a piece of Styrofoam insulating board, which I had them cut in half, as Pat wants to put up her jigsaw puzzles out on the porch and leave it up.  It is firm but is very light weight with a smooth surface.

Christian wanted to wash Pat's car and is out now doing that.  After he finishes we are going to take him to Steak and Shake for lunch.  He has never been there before so it will be another new experience.  I will rest when we get home and watch some football and then one of us will take him home late this afternoon.  He said that next Saturday he is going to go take his driver's test.

Ken, wait until you retire and you will find the days and weeks flying by too quickly.  I see I have the same feeling about that as Jeanne does.

Jeanne, we are currently at 66 degrees and not too high of humidity and it is a bit overcast.  So far a lovely day with it predicted to only go to 80 this afternoon.

Ruth Ann, it is hard to know how to pace ourselves and we think we can do more than our bodies really are up to as I know you are aware.  Just the little I have done today has left me tired and think most of that came from the trip to Lowe's, even though I road the electric cart back to the lumber department.
