Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Hooray for God!  He is so good to our Jeanie!  Thank you, Father, for loving Jeanie with an all-encompassing love;, and giving her an even better camera! (Isn't that just like Him?)  :cheer: :thumbsup2:  :excited:

We have been to the gym for our workout, I also had a chiropractor appointment, came home and got out more Christmas stuff, for the dining room table and coffee table in living room.  Now it's time to go to lunch, and I am hungry!  So I will drink a full glass of water before going, maybe that will help me not to eat as much.

Hi, Larry!  Hello, Chrisle!

Etta Sue

Well, some nights my name becomes Jetta Sue!   :roflBig:  But when those nights come, they really aren't funny!  I usually think of Hawaii and some of the fabulous times I have had there and the calming brings on sleep...sometimes!

I enjoyed a nice nap yesterday afternoon waking up in the dark!  Then it was find something to eat and watch some TV.

Today I went to the pool...they are saying that next week the Noblesville Rehab pool will be opened again.  That saves me 10 miles round trip!  I will miss the strong jets though!

Then I went to Arby's for lunch and home to a visit with Ivalou.  Seems that every time I talk with her, she has pain somewhere else!  The surgery arm is doing fine but now she says the whole right side (stroke side) is painful.  I think she has too much time to think and thus pain.  Her legs and feet are swelling but I found out that she has been sleeping in her glider chair ever since she has been home alone!!  When I went in today, she was in her bed but propped up.  Still needs to lay flat to get rid of the swelling, I think!

She hasn't been to church since surgery in October.  She is afraid that someone will bump into her and cause her to fall!  So I told her that if she would go next Sunday, I would stay by her side, which ever side she wants me to be, and no one would bump her and she could hold onto my arm!  She acted pleased but we will see what Sunday brings.

Saturday is Christmas with Kaye Don's family...he and Barb are in Florida but we are invited to attend.  And next Sunday evening is our Church Cantata.  Always great music that night!  And I think the little kids are going to sing also!

Christle, thanks for telling us you are from New Brunswick.  I always thought I would love to go to New Brunswick and see the sights but haven't been yet!

This is a must listen!

Where's The Line to See Jesus

Here's the story behind the song:

About the Song

While at the mall a couple of years ago, my then four year old nephew, Spencer, saw kids lined up to see Santa Claus. Having been taught as a toddler that Christmas is the holiday that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, he asked his mom, "where's the line to see Jesus"?

My sister mentioned this to my dad, who immediately became inspired and jotted words down to a song in just a few minutes. After putting music to the words, and doing a quick recording at home, he received a great response from friends. He sent the song off to Nashville without much response, except for a Christian song writer who suggested adding a bridge at the end of the first chorus.. My dad then asked if I wanted to record the song to see what we could do with it. I listened to the song, made a few changes to the words to make it flow better, and we headed to Shock City Studios.

It was at the studio where Chris, owner and producer, rewrote the 2nd verse and part of the chorus... with goose bumps and emotions high, we were all hopeful and felt like we had something special. The demo was recorded in just under 2 hours and sent off again to Nashville... still no response.

Then 2 weeks before Christmas last year, my cousins Greg and Robbie decided to do a video to see what we could accomplish on YouTube. The first day we had 3000 hits and it soared from there. We received e-mails, phone calls, Facebook messages from people all over asking for the music, CD's, iTunes, anything.... we had nothing. After a couple of meetings with Chris following the amazing response, we got serious. We headed back into the studio this past spring... this time with guitars, drums, bass, pianos, choirs... the real deal.... and here we are today.

Getting iTunes set up, a website put together, and loving that thousands upon thousands of Christians have come together... remembering the true meaning of Christmas. Out of the mouths of babes come profound truths that many adults can not understand. Hopefully Spencer's observation will cause people all over to reflect on the love of Jesus, and that one day we will all stand in line to see Him. We are most thankful to our Heavenly Father to have this chance to share our music with you. Merry Christmas everyone.

Hi, friends, it's been a busy day today - and now, I'll be heading to bed pretty early for me. My niece will be having a C-section tomorrow morning at 8 Central time. May our Lord be gracious to this mom to be and grant her a routine surgery with a wonderful awakening to her new life with the little one and her hubby.

The music is truly beautiful.

Love to all,
Ruth Ann

Judy, that song is beautiful. What a perfect reminder of what Christmas is all about. The birth of our precious Lord and Saviour! Thank you so much for allowing us to watch the video.
God bless

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  It is going to be another record breaking warm day for December here in Atlanta.  The sun is out and I already had to remove my sweater that I usually wear all the time.  We had a good lunch yesterday at Panera Bread company and I even brought home a loaf of sourdough bread that was delicious.  I had some of it with jelly and juice for my breakfast this morning.  Today should be pretty quiet as only have one thing on the schedule for this morning.  The yard people didn't come yesterday so think we may now be scheduled in two weeks for the December cleanup of the yard.  By that time most of the leaves should be on the ground.

Judy, beautiful song-thanks for sharing the link and the back story of the song.  Glad you are able to spend some time with Pat this week.  Do hope she is feeling better.

Etta Sue, hope Ivalou will be comfortable enough to go to church with you as long as you stay at her side.  I can understand her concern.

Hi to Marilyn, Janet and all who stop by today.

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends, I'm sorta back in the corner listening to everyone today. It's a "concentrate, Ruth Ann" type of day.

I have a do-nothing day today but hope to finish my Christmas cards and then crochet a bling scarf for a 2 year old!  Her Mom wants it for her Christmas Stocking.

It is raining today so a great day to stay inside.  We are having great temps...someone just moved here from California and said 'If I wanted warm temperatures, I would have stayed in California.  Where's the snow?'  Uh...Canada, maybe?

Judy, I enjoyed the song, too--and that girl singing it is beautiful!  Please give Pat a big hug for me!

The Christmas dinner at the Care home is tonight, I need to make something to take.  Beth wants her tiny tree, so I have it and the decorations in the car, along with a tray/table to set it on, but need to buy a string of lights.  We have hundreds, but I don't want to take the time to untangle one small string from the mess.  :-\

Kristi was really hard on me at the gym this morning, at least my body is complaining!

Time to go to lunch.  See you later.

Hi, Larry, Chrisle, Etta Sue, Ruth Ann, and whoever else pops in today!
