Sorry for the downtime today. The problem was due to an undiscovered bug with the latest version of the forum software. I've restored us back to a previous version until a solution is found for the bug. I installed this same patch on two forums on my own server and didn't run into any problems so it must be due to things being configured differently here.

Thank you for getting us up and running again today, I was starting to think it was something I had done as I lost contact soon after I had made my early morning posting, one minute the forum was there, next minute it had gone...

One further update. Upon further investigation, it turns out the problem was due to the new code not being compatible with an outdated version of PHP that this site was running. I went into the site control panel and changed to a newer version of PHP and have reinstalled the new version of the forum software.

I've had no computer since Thursday.  I had a black screen and up at the top left of the screen, it said something I don't remember exactly so a friend came tonight and got things working.  So I have several days to catch up on!
