The ceremony is a long thing in the church. It is almost a full service, there is singing, and a complete sermon. The sermon lasts for about an hour.

And they are standing for the entire sermon.

Then they kneel and the pastor prays a prayer of blessing for them.

Their parents come on both sides and pray a prayer of blessing for them. I thought this was extremely touching, each one of their parents prayed for them, their mothers and fathers.

Then they themselves have to pray for their own wedding. I don't think you could ever talk an American bride or groom into doing this at their own ceremony for everyone to hear over a microphone.
