Title: Funny Old Afternoon
Post by: Summicron on February 27, 2010, 02:35:39 PM
Where do I start? Oh that's it, walking along the main road to meet up with Margery, coffee morning at the Methodist church that wasn't on, so we had lunch in a cafe somewhere along the other side of that road, most of the shops over there are either takeaways or cafes, there was a curious silvery light that made the road attractive and certainly worth a picture. The street just behind the garage sign, is Argyle street, its the street where I lived as a child, I lived way up at the top. The garage used to be a cinema, sometimes you could go round the back and scavenge film clips out of the rubbish bin, film would break so they had to cut and splice it together again.

In the cafe, I ordered a small sandwich, ham, cheese, and pineapple, I'm just glad I didn't order a big one, the woman had to wrap it up for me to take home. So Margery noticed the coffee and teapots on a shelf, they looked neat and photogenic, this is a colour picture, by the way.

Everybody Loves. There is a sculpture in Bolton, that is three very colourful elephants, there was a public outcry when Bolton Council tried to get rid of them, I've been meaning to get some shots of them, so this afternoon when I went over, I gave it a shot, Look at the little girls face, I like things like this.

Do you like my pyjamas? This one seems to be shouting at a passerby.

The colours of the spectrum are always attention grabbing, just a thought, that, When God said that He would never flood the world again in His anger, he gave a sign to Noah in the form of a rainbow, and a rainbow is the most attention seeking event that nature provides, more than anything else, because all the colours are arranged in their natural progression, you try missing out colours, or rearranging the spectrum colours, doesn't look right, does it? That's how we've been made, to respond to a natural order that is just so right and God created.

What a wonderful afternoon you had!  One day I will be coming over...Heather my daughter wants to come with me...and take that luncheon trip with you.

As usual your pictures are wonderful and colourful.  In that first one...the petrol price, is that per Liter or per gallon?

Your elephants are wonderful.  Pat will enjoy seeing them!

We have been up to 140.9 per liter.  Right now it is down somewhat, 92.9 - 105.9 depending on where you live and where you stop.  You are just higher.
