Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

When Eyes and Lens Disagree.

The TD Tower appears to be attached to the tip of the CN Tower in the background.
The two structures create an optical illusion of a Canadian-built space rocket, ready for take off.
The presence of the moon makes it even more interesting. (talk about being at the right place, at the right time, eh?)
But there's a problem. My camera and my vision disagree. You be the referee and settle the score.
The image on the left is what my honest camera captured. The one on the right is the product of my artistic freedom.

Oh, I like the second one.

I realize accurate photography is important to the news industry, but other than that, it's art, and I think artists like to tweak. You can hardly stop them...er, us.

Those are two cool towers there.

LaughingPeppers

I am glad you agree.
Thanks, Wishtlinsadler.

I posted on this but yet again it went poof.  Can't wait to get high speed.

Kass and I agree on this we like the second one with the darker sky.  It takes the glare off the tower,, and with the moon higher in the sky looks like it was taken later in the evening.  Well done.

I like the way you show the comparison, the before and after.

Now lets see some more!

Add my vote for the second one.  The first may have been great at first glance...  until comparison with the adjusted version and then it looks pale and washed out.

Personally I believe a photographer should be able to do two things: take good pics and edit. Nothing wrong with fixing something to match what your eyes actually see. Let's face  it...man made eyes are flawed, they will not always capture the vividity of what your natural eyes see. This is why God also gave us Photoshop and Lightroom...lol. I love the one on the right.
