This 1 year old coopers hawk was in our back yard the other day. I had to shoot through our bedroom window into the sun to get this shot. You can see his yellow eye which means he's 1 year old. An adult would have red eyes, and a fledgling gray.
I love digital cameras! I sat with the bird book in one hand and looked at the LCD screen to ID the bird.  8)
