Title: More Australian Wildlife
Post by: RobsTC on December 13, 2012, 08:04:00 AM
Hi everybody,
here are a few more shots of wildlife we have come across in our travels so far. The far north of Australia is full of crocodiles in nearly all the rivers and waterholes. Unless they are checked by the Park Rangers and certified free, people don't go swimming in them. The Whistling Kite is found in most parts of the country. This is the first time I have seen a bird of prey eating on the wing like this. The other bird is quite interesting. The Jacana is a small bird found around the far north of Australia in most wetland areas. When seen from a distance it just looks as if it is walking on water. Hope you enjoy the photos.
God bless,
Rob :)

Thank you for sharing these photos and the information about them.  It is grand to "visit" a land I will never see in person.   :)
