Apparently, the vignetting is caused by putting the petal lens hood on incorrectly. She's having a lot of fun learning now. She was put off by DSLRs because they are so large. The 410 is rather petite, reminds me a lot of the old Olympus OM-1 that set a new standard for compact 35mm SLRs.

That looks like a nice camera. Well done with the pictures.
Nice shots. I really like the one of the fountain.

That third one (fountain?) is a lovely photo.
Hope that she posts more in here.
Sunday our daughter's alma mater had a softball team in the local college touranment. We went to see it, and Mrs. Barbarian tried her hand at sports shots.

She seems to be getting the hang of it.
I took a few, myself.

Well done. I like the look of intensity yet there is a joy in the face of the lass in the bottom one! well done.
Great photos, I love action shots. Stopped by the ball park this afternoon to watch my grandson practice baseball. Can't hardly wait for the season to start, love to shoot baseball games.
Don
So nice to see these, Barbarian.
Isn't your wife a member here?
yes at I was wondering that too! Barbarian if she isn't then maybe you should encourage her to become a member!
Yes, she is a member, but she isn't fond of putting pictures on the net. Not when she can talk me into doing it for her!
LOL Smart lady. I have a sister and daughter that I can con!
That5 fountain looks like a monument to General Rust and Major Decay. That ferris wheel looks about the size of the one we have here in Manchester pretty awesome. Don't know what that building is supposed to be but its a lovely piece of architecture, the angular forms of the tower contrast well with the blue shell dome, some pretty colourful shots there Mrs. I'm afraid any kind of sport goes over the top of my head.
