Such a sad day that was. I was in Junior High and no one believed what was being said. I think everyone who was alive know where they were that day.

I was home sick that day. It was terribly sad. Those were less partisan times, and everyone, republican and democrat, was grieving for him.
I still get a terrible feeling of loss when I think of it.
I was sitting on the floor of my living room playing cards (hearts) with friends.

Yup even today there is sadness.
I was rehearsing with some other musicians in an apartment in Madison, Wi. that day, when we heard the shocking news. I still have a newspaper that I bought either that same day or the following morning and have kept all these years. I'll post a couple pix of it:
