This was from my visit last year. I was trying to get the entire arch from a closer position. I think there were 8 images stitched together here, and the distortion was really extreme. I've been working on learning curve bending, and I finally got it where I want it to be. This is the "impossible view", but now it's reality.

Very good Barbarian. I would have never known it took 8 images to get this. Looks like you've got it figured out.
I can think of many occasions where being able to do this would come in handy. I wouldn't have a clue as to how to do it.
I get "This photo isn't currently available."
Can you check what happened Barbarian?
Don there is a special program that Barbarian uses. If you repost it here Barbarian we will add it to the links page that we have in the forum.

I don't get it. Should work. Do you see it now?
Microsoft Image Compositing Editor is free and easy to use. Just snap a series of pictures covering the area you want to show. (Cover more than you want; you can trim it when it's done) Then open the editor, and drag the pictures into the work area.
It does the rest. There are a few tools you can play with, but you don't have to. Don't worry about what I was saying about how hard it was for the arch. That was an extreme application where I had to straighten everything by hand. Most aren't like that. Or maybe you'll like the fish-eye effect.

Give it a try.
I got it this time Barbarian. It is the impossible view. I showed John without any of your commentary. He recognized it right away...
I am going to that the link and post it in another thread giving others access without having to go searching through photo's to find it,
You have done a great job and the "fish Eye" effect is not there. I know you have worked on eliminating this in your pic's and it appears you have done it!!! Way to go!!!
At the bottom of the forum there is a thread "Recipes, Links and Information" That is where I posted Barbarian's link!
Barbarian, this is the link you put in the first post.

You can see that it's a wee bit different.
It's a wonderful photo!
