Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

What a beautiful indoor rainbow display there must be when the sun hits those flowers!

That is beautiful.  WOW!!!

Where was this taken?

Barbarian

This one was taken in the Dallas Museum of Art.   That's a mosaic you see through the window on the outside.   When Casey gets home, the first thing we do is go to all the art museums in the area to see what's new.  He's got a degree in Art History and still loves it.

That is amazing.  Where do they get these ideas?

Barbarian

They used to make window glass that way (minus the colors, of course).    They'd blow a bubble of glass, open one end, and then spin the pipe to make a flat disk until it hardened.   They'd cut panes out of the disk, then.    The center, with a bumpy, rippled texture, was "bulls-eye glass" and was cheaper than the flat panes.   You see it on very old houses where the builder economized.

That would create some some spectacular rainbow effects in the room where those panes were.

I would love to see that close up.  It would be beautiful.

Jeanne Lee

They do make beautiful window effects.  But it would make it hard to see out and snoop on the neighbors.   ;D

I think it looks cool. But as Jeanne said, it does make it hard to spy on the neighbors.

Hi Barbarian,
I love those images you posted on "Glass On Glass."
It reminded me of an Architecture Photography that I shot in Toronto.
I like to share it. Here it is. I call it "Within The Cloud Catcher."

Here is another interesting Architecture.
It has Chinese touch. I call it, "An Evening of Colors."

I suppose that is what I would like...Not spying and not being spied on!

The following pictures are beautiful!

Ah, but Judy, an old lady living alone needs something to occupy her time (other than the computer  ;) ) and the comings and goings of the neighbors serves that purpose.

In the "Within the Cloud Catcher" it does look as though the smaller building is indeed inside the larger one.

Jeanne there's always books, Bible, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting.  I really  got turned off with someone who lived here with us always saying "Oh! Look what the neighbour is doing!".

Jeanne Lee

Judy, please believe me, that was all "tongue in cheek"!  I do not "spy" on my neighbors - I sure don't have time to stay glued to the window watching anyone else.

I know that Jeanne!  I am teasing but also giving some perspective as to why I don't watch my neighbours.  We live in the boonies and have 2 neighbours that we can see.  The one house has 2 little kiddies that we love to watch at play.  The other is a good neighbour. We all seem to be there for each other, but also mind our own business.  While this person was with us we knew everything that the neighbours did....it was always too much information!

Barbarian

Splendid shot of a building apparently enclosed by another building.    I like the humor in it, as well as the beauty.   Great work.

Excellent colours and arrangement of the glass flowers echoed by the mural in across the courtyard.
