I was intrigued that people were so taken by that little fiberglass hut, when there was that wonderful space all around them.   I've become intrigued by mall architecture, something that is not going to be with us forever.   Malls are dying out, and in a generation, they'll be like movie theaters, no longer decorative.    The future is in glorified strip shopping centers.

I'm thinking they need to be documented before they go out.

You may be correct.  I've seen it happening here and a lot of other major cities.  The gangs and other predators make them very unsafe.  At least in this area.

Barbarian you are doing a good jon of dovumenting.  Great picture!

Gary we don't have the mega malls here in our area, and as a result the gangs as such aren't as much of a problem.  That is one of the joys of living in the smaller towns.

We have a good number of big malls here in Toronto, but they are all pretty much safe. They are constantly patrolled by young and fit security staff as well as by the Toronto Police. Their presence make the bad elements feel uneasy so they go somewhere else. You should visit Toronto Eaton Center, it is a nice mall right in Dowtown Toronto and connected to the subway and other malls via underground commercial pathway.

To Barbarian, I have a question. Did you compress that shot? The people in it appear unproportionally short.
Just curious. Otherwise, it is a good shot. I love the vibrant colors and contrast.

The shot is a stitch, from about a dozen individual frames, so you get a distorted, fisheye sort of look to it.    Notice that the people toward the center of the image are less distorted than the ones on the bottom edge.   Remember, the people on the edge, I was shooting almost straight down on.

After stitching, I did some tone mapping to get that color and detail.
