Title: Old Texas Churches
Post by: WTx on August 09, 2007, 11:11:14 AM
FYI, like Barbarian I developed an interest in old churches.  Here is a good guide for anyone who might be visiting Texas and also has this interest.  There are a wealth of beatiful churches around the state.

There seem to be quite a few down around Austin/San Antonio/ then along I-10 to Houston.  There is one more I need to visit in Gainesville but I think I might be done for this summer.

I'm hoping to pick up all the San Antonio Missions this year.   As you might know, one of them is has been holding masses every Sunday since it was founded in the early 1700s.

Thank you for the link.

We hope to head to LA around Christmas, $$$ may prevent that trip.  However, when we do go I will take the southern route, through Texas, on the way home.

We have a little Methodist church just up the road from us.  I am picking up film (We don't have digital) and see if I can capture anything worth looking at.

Keep the photos coming  and we will enjoy them
