I love old architecture.   And your shot is a nicely-composed example of good architectural photography.   I like the black-and-white treatment; it looks like a period photograph when such signs were state-of-the-art.  At first it looked a bit too low in contrast, but the slightly high-key approach is really a good treatment of this subject.

I have one request; could you return at night and get us a shot of this sign in it's neon glory, in color?

Unfortuantely, the camera I presently own does not take great night time photos.  I have found a better camera, (Sony DSLR)  It does take excellent night time photos, however, I am seeking the Lord on about purchasing the camera because it is way out of my price range

Been there.   I hope there will be a way open for you.  If not, you clearly can do very good things with the equipment you have.

Excellent work.  I too like the b/w of this as Barbarian said it is indicative of the period.
