Yes, it's an HDR.   The "real shot" looks nothing like this.   I shot straight into the sun.    In the "correct exposure" the sky was blown out to white, and the tower was too dark to see detail.    But I had taken three exposures, and combined they gave this.

Very dramatic.   A little too dramatic for me, but it's interesting.
