Title: The Cruise Ship
Post by: Summicron on May 29, 2009, 06:04:58 PM
I decided to have a go at photographing this place, its Queens Park hospital, Blackburn, and I'd just been to have my dressings changed, this is week fourteen of the foot saga. Blackburn Royal as it is now called has these curious courtyards, you can't go in them, but you cross decks to get from one ward or department to another, the longer courtyards almost give one the impression of being on a cruise liner> I think the whole point of these courtyards, is to simply break up the width and length of the building and to give some window light to the wards and departments, hence the white walls, increasing the amount of white being reflected back into the windows.

That is quite an area of green.  A good place for patients to enjoy being outside and having a breath of fresh air.

Well done!

How is the foot healing?
