Title: A dear friend passed away this week...
Post by: Barbarian on June 22, 2009, 09:54:23 PM
Kodak is closing down production Kodachrome for good.    There's only one lab left doing it, and when that closes, you won't be able to get it processed, even if you have some left.

I have an idea.  If you have some Kodachrome slides, get them out, copy them, and post them here.  Even from 40 years ago, they'll still be bright and clear.   For those of us who remember when there was only film, it's a sad day, indeed.

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the worlds a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama dont take my kodachrome away

With the advent of digital this was inevitable.  Unfortunately those of without digital, with the Nikon F50's, we will suffer..
