That's the best phase for photographing the Moon, with the sunrise/sunset line (known as the "terminator" running across all those craters.



Tamron 200-500 and tripod...cropped, converted to b&w, some sharpening...

Hi Jude's...Thanks-I've tried several times getting the moon but recently trying different settings and focal points(not sure if that's what its call)? and the tripod and lens...This morning I got some 'full moon' shots about 4:00, a little past the full moon phase of 8:55 last night Aug 5th. Haven't downloaded those yet...but it will be interesting to see the difference.
