Title: Bamboo Face

I found this beautiful sculpture in Old Quebec City. The clever artist used an actual bamboo trunk and used the roots for hair and beard. I said, "Wow! this is brilliant." The price tag was hundreds of dollars and not surprisingly expensive. I could not afford it, so I did what I could afford. Yes! You guessed it right.

Amazing!  (But I'd like it better if he was smiling!   ;D )

Very creative, I love the fact that the facial hair is made up of the roots of the plant.

Quebec has some of the most talented carvers.  The work is expensive, but when you look at the time involved to create the work of art it is easy to understand the price.

Well taken, and great art!

Oh, just to get the record straight and to give the credit to where it is due, the great sculpture was imported from the Orient, Thailand most likely.
