Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

I happened to have my camera available

Carl, this reminds me of when we were in Milton Gospel Hall and each Sunday morning we had the most wonderful worship service of just worshipping HIM!  This looks like the loaf that someone would break in half.

What wonderful remembrance services we had back then.  Just to worship our Lord and our Master--in singing, in prayer, or in reading scripture to do with it.

Thanks so much, Carl for this.

We hold Communion the first Sunday of each month.  I had my camera with me because I'm taking pictures of the members for the Church Directory after services.  It just seemed like a scene that would be nice to share with others here.

I agree Carl.

It is so good to remember what our Saviour did for us on that cruel tree.  Thanks for helping us remember with this touching photo.

I don't know how I missed this one.   Splendid job, and a very attractive setting.

I agree Barbarian.

I so appreciate this one.  It means a lot to me.

O CHRIST, WHAT BURDENS BOWED THY HEAD

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5

O Christ, what burdens bowed Thy head!
Our load was laid on Thee;
Thou stoodest in the sinner's stead,
Didst bear all ill for me.
A Victim led, Thy blood was shed;
Now there's no load for me.

Death and the curse were in our cup:
O Christ, 'twas full for Thee;
But Thou hast drained the last dark drop,
'Tis empty now for me.
That bitter cup, love drank it up;
Now blessing's draught for me.

Jehovah lifted up His rod;
O Christ, it fell on Thee!
Thou wast sore stricken of Thy God;
There's not one stroke for me.
Thy tears, Thy blood, beneath it flowed;
Thy bruising healeth me.

The tempest's awful voice was heard,
O Christ, it broke on Thee!
Thy open bosom was my ward,
It braved the storm for me.
Thy form was scarred, Thy visage marred;
Now cloudless peace for me.

Jehovah bade His sword awake;
O Christ, it woke 'gainst Thee!
Thy blood the flaming blade must slake;
Thine heart its sheath must be;
All for my sake, my peace to make;
Now sleeps that sword for me.

For me, Lord Jesus, Thou hast died,
And I have died in Thee!
Thou'rt ris'n—my hands are all untied,
And now Thou liv'st in me.
When purified, made white and tried,
Thy glory then for me!

I don't think I've ever seen the subject handled better - and I've tried.

Well done.

Thank you both, very much.  I've made prints of this image for my pastor and a close friend who's a deacon that helps administer Communion.  They both loved it.

The subject is very well done.  It looks like we can sit down together and celebrate the Lord's supper!

Pat

Carl, I still come back to this photo to have a look at this wonderful image and think on my Saviour.
