I've been experimenting with my wireless speedlights and gels. I had a good time with my son making some fun images. The sun was still fairly high (1/4000 shutter). This is a fun technique to play with if you have a speedlight, especially if you have wireless capabilities and gels are cheap.

That's my boy! We have been so blessed by this child, he has a very sweet and tender heart. That smile he gave speaks a thousand blessings to me, thank you Jesus!

Interesting technique. Is the gel causing the orb lights I'm seeing or is that coming from the lens/flash? Good looking young man BTW.

Thanks. Those are actually bubbles from a toy bubble machine we had running nearby, lit by the flash. The gel corrected the skin color to warm to offset the cooler blue that I had the white balance set to.
My eyes certainly aren't what they once were. I can see they are bubbles now. :idiot:
