Title: Mustangs
Post by: ScottyBoy on April 11, 2008, 07:49:06 PM
I'm a big car guy. So, I took some pics of some Ford Mustangs yesterday While we were driving down the freeway.
I don't claim the these are good pics, because I know that they aren't. But I thought it was interesting that there
were two Mustangs, (One in front of the other). Weird, isn't it?

Notice, that I didn't put a lot of work into these, except blurring the license plates.
I even got a mirror in the last pic.

I like taking pictures while my husband is driving.  I never really know what is in my shot until later.  Mustangs are great cars!  Both are nice model years.

You must have had the camera mounted on the dashboard to be clicking and driving. I remember, a photograph in an Anglo American Colourslide Circle I belonged to, that showed three scramble motorbikes racing, their numbers were 7 9 & 63. Its a jolly good effort though.

It was hard to hold the camera still while my mom was driving.

Just wait Scotty Boy, got to photograph one of these this afternoon, yep long low and sleek, and right up Margery's street, she's my best friend, We'd just come back from Blackburn, there it was, the chap was going to drive off, so I photographed it from the front. He said, "Get a rear view just as nice," so I did and a couple more shots from the front, but the light was playing cat and mouse with some clouds. Don't know what these shots will come out like because the highlights were giving me 1/125sec at F16, so I took a meter reading from the sides of the terraced houses, pray it works.

Here's the best part, you know what colour the car was? Bright canary yellow, might be a week or two before the film gets processed, as they say, patience is a virtue, Iwas going to upload some shots to him or make him a couple of prints as I thought he lived in the street, but he was from Bury, painter and decorator, his clothes were freckled with paint.

Sounds like a nice car. Do you see many Mustangs where you live?

Wow, it's one of the most common cars on the road here.

I've had to put the picture of the Ford Mustang that I photographed in the gallery as it looks like I've used up all my picture space, and without pictures I'm struggling for thoughts and ideas I'm afraid. I really need some inspiration in my life at the moment and not just photographic inspiration, a sense of direction and purpose.

I took a look at your mustang picture in the gallery. It's a very nice car. Looks like a late 60s or maybe an early 70s model.
Not my favorite version, but still a great looking one.
