Digital imaging, you lot don't know the meaning of the word. When I started with a digital camera, we made our own, and recorded the results onto floppy disks, there were no such things as megapixels back then let me tell you. The results were a bit rough an ropey, but it worked. Look at this example, a few guys out for a Mediterranean cruise, the guy tied to the mast was stoned out his head, kept falling overboard, kept him there till he sobered up a bit.
Seriously though, this is the most famous mosaic in the world, ind its in the Bardo museum in Tunis, you weren't allowed to use tripods, but the staff would happily spend an afternoon telling you about the exhibits, and yes you could photograph freely. Depth of field was not a problem here, as all the subjects are two dimensional. The subject depicts Ulysses tied to the mast of his ship, whilst his men sat with their ears plugged with wax, so that he could listen to the songs of the sirens without casting himself overboard, to get near them.
You know the Romans must have been hot on digital imaging, there's just thousands of these mosaics in museums, and more being dug up all the time.
Really good shot
