Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Not just by chance did I get off the bus outside the Robert Whitehead memorial gardens a couple of weeks back, because the gardens were full of cherry blossom millions of petals lay on the floor, and the trees were still full of blossom, it was like pink snow on the ground. But then I came across this tiny plack, and I mean tiny, and at ground level, not only was our Robert the inventor of the torpedo, but was the grandfather of captain baron Georg Von Trappe, welcome to Sound of Music country, Bury, Lancashire.

Here is a replica of that first torpedo, set amidst the cherry blossom, the plack above is on the stone under the torpedo. Something wrong with my photo editing suites, as they are giving me bigger and bigger file sizes for less and less picture sizes, and its getting worse all the time.

Dandelions amidst a snow of blossom, that's how lovely the setting was.

A view of the gardens with typical Lancashire terraced houses, and thick with blossom.

And finally the actual Whitehead memorial clocktower seen through the trunks of two cherry blossom trees.

Lovely flowers, Michael!  So nice and cheery to see these blossoms.
