Taken in Tennessee while stretching out the legs with a walk from the long car ride back to minnesota. 20D canon

Reminds me of one I took, just the stump of a tree, but in mine there is a new tree growing out of the dead old stump is a brand new sappling. Sunnyhurst woods where I took it is literally renewing itself, with thousands of new sapplings growing up between the mature trunks of the original trees planted in the 1800s when the town aquired the land for public recreation. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
