Just got a Canon 20D
I am just amazed by some of it's qualities, I mean....look at these...they were taken at night with a short exposure and no flash if you can believe that!

I love my 20D!
My 20D has seen full on blizzards, thunderstorms and about every temperature extreme habitable by man (Do you just love living in the midwest???)
The 20D is a solid piece of equipment. I've had mine for almost a year now and love it. I do have a slight sensor malfunction that I'll be sending in shortly while it's still under warrenty tho. Other than that, it's a beautiful thing this camera...
But the 5D is definitly drool worthy... But 3fps??? Why so low!!! And no EF-S mount... Booooo.... Booooo you canon for not making more cameras compatible with EF-S!!!
Im a bit attached to my 1.6 multiplier and my 300 mm telephoto (which in reality is 480 with the multiplier) and my 17-85mm Lens with IS... Hand held shooting at 1/5th of a shutter speed is just UNHUMAN ;D
There does seem to be an issue with Canon 20D's and the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS
I love my 20 D! Peace, Ritz.
:) I just purchased a 20D after much prayer and research. I don't yet have it in my possession... waiting for it to arrive.
I sent my dad the $, he did the transaction, and sent it. I've yet to get a compatible lens. I do wedding, portrait, and whatever other photography that I feel to do. This is my first dslr. I'm pretty excited to try out my new toy/tool!!
Want to know a couple of personal non-technical confirmations that I this was the camera brand for me?
1) The "C" and the "a" inthe name Canon are more curvy and, thus, more friendly looking than the pointy, more angular "N" and "i" in the name Nicon. I told you these were non-tech reasons... ;) I prefer the font style too actually.
2) I like the connotation of pointing my toy/tool at a specific target.
As the Lord leads, I want to purposefully use this canon to a) demolish (strongholds, ...?) things needing it, and b) prepare areas for ...change, rebuilding, a new way of looking at something.
I got it for $1325 Cnd with 9 months remaining on the warranty.
I hadn't thought of the 2 reasons until after I had already forwarded the $ to my dad for this camera. The Lord is so good and knows what tickles our fancy.
These thoughts, my peace, and joy and the wonderful technical features and weight balance of body and lens (probably 17-85 IS USM) good for my smaller hands) of this brand and model make me smile and are the Lord's personal reminders that I did hear HIs voice and made the right-for-me purchase. Do you have little or big confirmations that you heard Him and bought into His plans for you? Share them?
Your reasons sound good to me.
