Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Here's the review I wrote on the PC Mag website:

QuoteI got the Dimage 7HI as a step-up from a 3+mp HP with my end goal as eventually getting a true SLR digital. It has served me well and I am continuing to explore the features and posibilities of this camera. My main projects are flowers, scenary, animals, with a bit of on-line marketting thrown in. The pros of the camera (and the list is still expanding) are the choice of manual or auto control - focus, F-stop, aperature, color. Everything can be "tweaked" if wanted - or let the camera go fully auto and the results are great. This is probably the best feature. I can just point and shoot, or I can work one scene or area for multiple shots to get the best results by using the many variations available. After a year I'm still learning all the possibilities. The cons of the camera that might make a difference to some - shutter speed on auto is not fast enough for "stop-action" of animals and such, there are some distance shots that I have not been able to get clear focus on (that might change with a telescopic adapter), and focus point isn't always where I want it so I need to switch to manual. This last 'con' would probably not be a big thing to most photographers as I often shoot 'busy' photos with backgrounds that are likely to confuse most digital cameras. Another easy-to-fix minor con is battery life. Prior to getting an external power source I needed to pack several changes of rechargable batteries. The external battery pack is a recommended add-on. I don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, I'm still learning from this camera.

Here's a new favorite taken two weeks ago at the Mission San Juan Capistrano:

That's a great review, Liz!  So happy that it was put in.

I edited to make the quote text a bit larger.  I'm going to see if I can get that changed next update as I find it so difficult to read.

I love that photo!

Thanks for sharing this with us.
