Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

First of all, I want to apologize to all of our members for the lateness in getting the new challenge set up.  Due to severe illness, I've just been unable to get to it but here it is now!!

What a great topic too!

Thanks Lee!

I was thinking the same thing (about myself!) but hoping no one would show up with a camera. :-[

That raccoon is quite literally "Weathered."  Good shot, and very appropriate!  Also, the topic choice was very good!

I can't believe I'm actually getting pretty good at this resizing. ;D Well, that's two entries. I'll have to go through the rest of my 23,000 pictures to find the other two entries. :bash: :bash: :banghead: :banghead: :calm: :dizzy: :nanadance: :excited:

These are good Fotobirder . I would like to be part of this challenge and I am trying to think if I have anything in my photos that would go along with this topic. :pine:

It would be interesting to know what camera you used to take the photos.

As we get filled up with entries, let's put all of our text BELOW the photo with the title just above the photo.  This will help as we scroll through the voting process later on.

Kevin & I move out all the non-photo posts leaving just the entries in here so maybe we could even put all of our text in a separate post?  What do you think?  (I'm just trying to make it easier for voting time.) ;)  I won't be moving them to the other area until just before voting.

I think I have one for this challenge.

Fotobirder, you are just great at the resizing now!  Wow!  Congrats!

This is a side of and old cart.  Doesn't look like they ever put any paint on this wood.  This was in the colonial village of Furnace Town MD.

Oops!  I think you forgot to attach the photo!

Make sure you put a title above your photos so I can copy and paste that title to the Poll Listing for voting.

Great to see the challenge started!

All great Weathered photos I will have to see what I can come up with. Lots of weathered stuff in my neighborhood.

Wow.  Can you imagine being delivered by the same people that delivered your parents?  And your shots were very good, Mr. Moss!

After doing this for 60 years, there is a good chance Kinnu delivered the baby's parents, grand parents, and possibly even the great-grand parents. It is not uncommon for girls as young as 13-15 years old to be married and have kids. Luckily, the age of marriage is raising in the current generation. They are starting to understand that education is important, even for girls.

And actually, my wife was delivered by the same doctor that delivered her dad. He is (was) a famous doctor. He was featured in Life magazine, is an article called "Country Doctor" if I remember correctly. He was photographed by W. Eugene Smith. The most famous shot of him was taken just after surgery, where he is leaning on a table, still wearing his surgical scrubs, while smoking a cigarette.

Thanks for your comments Gabriel. And by the way, "Mr. Moss" is my dad. Please call me Vic.  :)

Well, can you even imagine these great shots in here?

Vic, those are lovely.  I just can't stop staring at "Man Alone" and the one of the hands.

Thanks so much.

If you don't mind, I'm going to edit your posts to move the photo up with the title in larger letters just for ease of voting.  I'm sure you understand.  Just want everything to stand out.

Thanks again and what fantastic photos.

I read the instructions after I posted the images. Typical male method!  ;D

Thanks for fixing them.

Also, for those of you wondering, 1500INR (Indian Rupees) is about $35.00 USD. Parents, how would you like to pay only $35 for your kids to be born. Actually, I think I'll take the western health care option and pay more.

I think I have it down. The main thing is to Click on Inline Full Attachment. You'll see where the picture is going to be located. Download the picture and hit enter twice. But you have to do the inline full attachment before you download the picture. It's working for me. If I can do it anyone can. ;D

Thanks Steve.

I believe that one of the missions of a Christian is to inspire our brothers and sisters in all they do. I'm humbled by the thought of providing some to you.

Through my photography, I'm been blessed to not only inspire, but to be (greatly) inspired by many of my subjects.

Blessings to all!

I noticed you had a photo of Haygood Mill. We've been there many times. My Father In Law and sister in law both live in Easley, S. C. When we first visited the Mill was old but I think they recently rebuilt some of it. Just wondered if you lived close by the Mill or got the photo on a trip?

The Best Of Times[attachimg=#]

This piciture is of an Old Farm in Twin Falls State Park, West Virginia. It takes me back to a time when the small farms were thriving. For me those were The Best Of Times. Camera info: Nikon 6006 using Auto Focus and Fuji 400 Film.

Hi Steve-

Actually, my Great Grandparents had a farm on Pumpkintown Hwy, between Pumpkintown and Pickens. My Aunt and Uncle now own it. I still have many family members who live in the Pickens and Greenville area. The family name there is McJunkin. You'll see it on a lot of different mailboxes in the area. I spent quite a bit of time there during summers while I was growing up in Virginia and Florida.

I noticed you spelled it Haygood. I'm not sure which is correct, but I've seen it spelled both ways. It truly is a very pretty site to visit. It is also featured in a Reader's Digest travel book called "Off the Beaten Path".

I never lived in SC, and I live in Colorado now. However, the McJunkins have been in and around Pickens since 1755. My family fought in both the Revolutionary and Civil wars (won one, lost one   ;D).

Hey Brian. Great picture of the Old House. Reminds me of what happened to the houses we lived in after we finally moved out. My dad worked for a Farmer and we just went from one old house to another. By the way, I think you forgot to give it a Title.

Thanks Steve, I took care of my error, Thanks! ill get the hang of this yet.

Pat

Hi Brian!  Lovely stump!  I like to view these old logs and things.  Sometimes you get lots of beautiful moss and other critters!

I put your title large above your entry so that everyone can see it easily.

Pat

Fixed it for you, Hal.

What a lovely photo.

If any of you have photos in the Gallery or on your own web page, get the URL of the photo you want to show (Hal's is:  http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/gallery2/d/1292-1/blind-guitar-man-800.jpg ) and then come and click "Reply", and then click on the little icon above that looks like   When you click on it, your curser will now be between the two tags and all you have to do is paste your image where your curser is flashing and nothing more.

No Alt text or anything is needed.

So, put your title in, use the Enter key twice to drop down two lines and then paste your image and voila! it's posted.

BUT....

If you make any errors, please don't be concerned, Kevin or I will help you.
