How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
Seventeenth Challenge for you all.
C O F F E E
Details: - This topic was chosen by Andy Sorensen who won our last Challenge. The subject of the next Mini Challenge is COFFEE. Andy says, "Anything associated with coffee and even a good ol' cup of joe will work for this challenge. Dust off those cameras, get creative and have fun with the this challenge's theme."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on March 1, 2008 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a title above your photo. We need the title for the poll.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!
Too pretty to drink
I think I took this at a favorite coffee house with either my Minolta dimage 7hi the day I got it, or when I got my Canon. There is no exif data to give me a clue. It took about 20 shots to get one that I liked.

The Title of This entry is "A Good Cup of Coffee with The Good Book." :) I would like to see some action pictures. But don't spill the coffee on yourself. ;D
Have a Blessed Day

That First Cup of Coffee is always the best. I hardly ever drink it at home. I'm not advertising for Waffle House. But they are known in Georgia for having the best Coffee. Picture was taken today 2-21-08. Camera was a Nikon D80 Digital and the Title is "The First Cup." We could have some great photos. Just use your imigination and come up with some great photos.

A Nice Combination

Quote from: mybcjazz on February 21, 2008, 08:16:03 PMSo Andy, where are your coffee contributions? ;)
Well, since you've asked. Here's a
COFFEE DRINKING WOLF. This trapper was attending a local Fur Rondezvous festival and fur sale. The trapper is wearing a hat made out of a wolf's head and cape. Certainly, a bit of old time Alaska. I enjoyed the image of an old rugged trapper from bush Alaska coming into town and enjoying a fancy latte. 8)

Canon 300D with Canon 70-200 f2.8 lens.
I've got a few ideas I need to work on for this challenge. Time is the only limiting factor. ???
Here's another.
I'll call this one CHANGE.
I used a SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) light for the lighting on this. It's a REAALLY bright flourescent lighting box that works well in certain photographic situations. Anyway, it worked well enough here. Picked up this lighting at a garage sale a summer or two ago. Works great. I use this box of extremely bright light while making lunches in the morning for my two boys and my school teacher wife before they head out the door. It does a great job of waking me up. It does double service for some photography needs. A good example of 'use what you have'. :)
To get a proper white balance, I use a PhotoShop Plugin - PictoColor iCorrect EditLab Pro.

Canon 300D with a Canon 17-40mm lens. Exposure was f/13 at 1/60 sec. ISO 200
First one from me I have an idea for more, at least Iam finally entering one.

WARMED THREE WAYS
[attachimg=#]
This photo shows three ways coffee can warm me--the heat of the coffee warms my hands; the mug (given to me by two of my grandsons when they were toddlers, and they are all grown up now) warms my heart, and the coffee itself warms my tummy. Mega thanks to Pat for all of her help! <3
Green
This is my Mom's Swirled Green Ware...I forget the name of it but she got it in Rolled Oats boxes many years ago. We fed baby chicks oats so we went through a lot of boxes of oats.
Coffee tastes different in a cup than in a mug. Agree?
