How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
Twenty Second Challenge for you all.
M U S I C
Details: - This topic was chosen by Gabriel who won our last Challenge. The subject of the next Mini Challenge is MUSIC. Gabriel says, "Really, this does not need interpretation. As long as the shot has something to do with music, it is OK. Of course, the closer it adheres to the topic, the better. I also would encourage original shots, shot specifically for this challenge.... They do not have to be, though."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on July 31, 2008 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing.
- Please post only one entry per post. .
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

Ooooooh --- Music! :o Love it! Okay, original shots, eh?? Great challenge, Gabe! Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful submissions.
Guitar Master
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.christianphotography.org%2Fsamples%2FMusic-LeeLove-philkeaggy.jpg&hash=8f5efc8b1de135d01e672cd899218634dfccf3fe)
One of my favorite artist, guitar virtuoso Phil Keaggy. I have had the privilege of photographing Phil a number of times and never get tired of trying to capture the man and his music. Unfortunately my photography can not match what he can do with a single guitar. If you have ever heard him play then you know what I mean.

Okay, I'll start my entries with a shot I did a couple of years ago of our former Worship Pastor. Obviously, it has a bit of post-production to it. Hopefully not too much to disqualify as a photograph. Some of you may have seen it in a previous gallery of mine.
It is titled "Toni".

Great Choice Gabriel. :thumbsup2: I love music. It doesn't have to be jazzed up. Sometimes the best music is just a simple instrument playing a Tune. That's what caught my ear at The Museum of Appallachia in Tennessee. My first entry is called "The Fiddler." I took it with a Nikon D70 Camera with a Nikon 18-70 Lense.
I was shooting on Automatic/Shutter Priority. The Appallachian Mountains is a good place to go to be a part of Hoe Downs  or just a song around a campfire. The Museum is located in Norris, Tennessee.

Hopefully this a better picture of The Annie Moses band. The Little Guy playing the Banjo is the youngest member. They play mostly Christian Music but can do some country Fiddle Music. Hope you can catch them if they come near your town. Just place The Annie Moses Band in your Browser and it will take you to their Website. The picture is titled "Little Banjo man with the Annie Moses Band."
I used a Nikon D80 with Tamron 28-300 Lens and a Nikon SB-800 Speedlight.

Next entry is called:

my Final entry is called: Teens Praise

This is The Roan Mountain Hilltopper Hoedown. I especially like the old fashion Bass. They play all over the USA.

#1: Winter. This is not my favorite instrument, but it is the one that I play the best. It was taken with our new REBEL XTI! YAY!!! Anyways, it was shot July 22, 2008, and specifically for this challenge. Question: How does the camera know when it took the picture?

This was taken back in May and is of our son's new Tartini violin we purchased when he outgrew his older violin. He is at a 1/2 size violin right now. :)

"How Great Are You, Lord"
Taken today, specifically for this assignment. My focal point was on the violin scroll, leaving the sheet music slightly blurred.

Art-as-Servant, I've added your entry. The voting has started so it will have missed some of the views but what a wonderful image it is.
Thanks so much!
No more uploads!
You may still add some "Music" photos to this topic if you wish but we won't be able to vote on them. I think it's nice to view them even if we aren't voting.
Found it difficult to vote on this one as some of the pictures didn't match up with the titles in the voting list, had to search and search to match up what I wanted to vote for. It would be good if everybody placed the title of their picture first on a separate line, perhaps in all CAPITALS. However there's plenty of superb shots to choose from from well lit still life's to on stage shots, and even some environmental portraits, The Fiddler, is one in particular, with the subject placed in the unusual position of facing out of the picture whilst we see so much background detail of the place he is at, yet it does not detract in any way from the subject itself. Superb reportage, or as they say, "One for the Geographic." And yes I did vote for it.
I'm sorry Michael.
I didn't know that they didn't match. some of the titles are so long that I had to shorten them but didn't find I had to do that to too many. ;)
We'll have to get folks next challenge to have only the title and the image in their post with no extra text.
Thanks!
Voted!!!
All was outstanding
Just two more days to vote!
Have you voted yet?
Yep, yep!
I did....

Hello Everyone.
First of all a big apology to Lee. He has sent me the information for the next challenge but I've been very ill since Monday. I have cystitis and that certainly isn't something to treat lightly. I've had high and low temperatures and every muscle and joint in my body feels as if I've been hit by a car. I am forcing myself to eat in order to take the antibiotics.
I will get it set up asap.
Ooohh, that is terrible! :'( I have no idea what it is, but it does not sound good. I shall pray for you.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!!!
