How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
Twenty-Eighth Challenge for you all.
"The Holy Bible Says"
Details: - This topic was chosen by LaughingPeppers, who won our last Challenge. The subject of the next Mini Challenge is "The Holy Bible Says". LaughingPeppers says, "Members who wish to compete are free to pick any verse in the Holy Bible that best describe their photos."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen.
- Please upload up to4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on January 17, 2009 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing. If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please do that in a separate post so that every post ONLY has the Title and then the Photo and that's all.
- Please post only one entry per post. .
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!
Here is LaughingPeppers first entry:
Let Your Light So Shine
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/community/gallery2/d/2226-2/LET+YOUR+LIGHT+SHINE+copy.jpg)
About the photo:
"This was shot at the courtyard of The Church Of The Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. The silhouettes are my fellow pilgrims from St. Thomas Church, Canada. This is also the photo that inspired me in forming the group "Photographers for Christ."
Far More Valuable

King of the Waves

I took this picture at Bremer Bay, when we went for a drive down to the beach.
I took it with a Kodak Z740. It was taken December, 2007.

I captured this little bird when he landed on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Snake River Canyon. He was there for such a short time, barely long enough for me to snap the photo. It made me think of how we humans rush about and God tells us to be still and know that He is God.
"Psalm 139:1-2"

Thank you for doing this topic. I knew this picture was missing something. And a Bible verse is what it needed.
THE GLORY OF GOD

I took this picture as the sun was setting at Everglades National Park in Florida. As I watched this beautiful sunset, I couldn't help but think about the Glory of God who created it all.

Two or More
[attachimg=#]
Not sure if I did this correctly.
Two or more is the title.
Picture was taken at a cross rededication at Noriega Point.
3 crosses were put up and Hurricane Ivan took out two, but the middle one remained. Praise God.

She was running away from her friend when I took the shot in Jerusalem.

Deep calls to Deep
[attachimg=#]
Deep calls to Deep: I had a very profound experience with the Lord a few weeks ago at one of our Sydney beaches where I was totally overwhelmed by a wave - Deep calls to deep very aptly described my experience with Him and the photo I was able to capture, which shows both oncoming waves and a breaking wave in the fore-ground.
OK - Thank you Don, trying again....

Wow these are all excellent photos.
My Question: Are we allow to snag these and use them for our personal use?
They are so good for portraying the word of God.
can someone please give an answer.

This will be an individual's decision, Melody.
You'll have to ask a specific member who created the image if they would mind if you snagged it. Do this by clicking on their name and sending a PM to them.

Congratulations Everyone!
Now, we wait for
Fotobirder to tell us what the next challenge topic is! (Please send a description as to how you want the topic interpreted too. Thanks!!!)
For me, I'm happy to announce the winners of this challenge but at the same time, I feel all were winners.
I've never seen so many fantastic photos with scripture verses on them in one place and what a wonderful inspiration this challenge has been to all of us who know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior to use this hobby to glorify Him.
So, Congratulations Everyone!!!
Another thing...
Just about 1 hour before the voting ended, I thought that we were going to have a re-vote. We had 6 in first place and 7 in second!
But then some more came and voted and it all worked out.
Wow!!!
CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYONE!
:groupwave: :groupwave: :groupwave::groupwave:
 Congratulations to All the Winners!!!

Congratulations ... to ALL who entered and, especially, to Fotobirder, LaughingPeppers, CRPoppy7 and Chris. These were amazing photos and the Scriptures really greatly added to their worth -- in each submission.
Congratulations to my fellow winners of the 28th Mini Challenge.
Fotobirder, Crpoppy7 and Chris Saunders.
I must add though, that in God's eyes, all of the entries are winners.
When you use your talent in photography to spread the word of God,
you have already won. God must be smiling at all of us.
We need to see more of these. This is what Christian Photographers Community is all about.
Let us answer to our calling. Keep on shooting photos that convey the Holy Scriptures and
share it to the world.
All my photos that are posted here are meant to be shared.
So go ahead, feel free to copy them for your own use or distribute them for your Christian Mission.
God would be very pleased that you did.
Photographer for Christ,
Mario Dimain (LaughingPeppers)
Sorry that I didn't get here in time to vote. The pictures are lovely and it would have been difficult to make a choice. Congratulations to all....
Congratulations to the winners and the rest that posted photos, all are winners.
Congratulations to the winners! These were all excellent photos and of course, the Scripture was most excellent too. :) I think you all outdid yourselves.
"Christian Photographers" has always been a very talented group, and unlike some other photography websites to which I have belonged, the Scripture is more important than the photo, many people will throw a gospel tract away, (sometimes while you are still there!) Christians don't take offence easily :-) but if you give them a nice photo with scripture, they will take it home, Margit and I have given out hundreds over the years, usually about 4x2 size.
It is truly more blessed to give than to receive, especially the gospel.
Please feel free to print any of ours that you require, it will be a privilege. Thank you for your votes and congratulation to all.
your's Chris & Margit.
CONGRATULATIONS to the winners. They were all beautiful and excellent choices for the contest. I look forward to being a part of the next contest.
God bless!

Pat. How do I send you an email. I think I might have done it but couldn't attach a picture example to it.
Thanks

Congratulations to all the winners. I think the first prise was a wonderful choice - the scripture verse that was printed with it, was SO appropriate, and a favourite of mine!
