How to Use This Board (http://www.christianphotographers.com/community/index.php?topic=5279.0)
Here's our
33rd Challenge for you all.
"F L O W E R S"
Details: - This topic was chosen by Fotobirder, who won our last Challenge. He chose the new subject of "Pat's Choice" so I've chosen the subject FLOWERS. . Pat says, "Let's see what we can do to show flowers from all over the globe in their wonderful splendour."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos (see directions above in the link to "How to Use This Board") in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it. It's best if your photos are at least 500 to 600 pixels wide so that they are easily seen. Please keep your photos under 175 KB in size.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- The challenge is open now and will be closed to uploads on June 21, 2009 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. Please only enter photos taken by you.
- Please put a short title above your photo. We need the title for the poll listing. If you want to tell us a bit about your photos, please do that in a separate post so that every post ONLY has the Title and then the Photo and that's all.
- Please post only one entry per post. .
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!

My wife started a new job and had worked 12 straight days (red roses) and had 7 days left to go without a day off (white roses). We are praising the Lord for the job and the overtime money will come in handy. Just wanted to give her a boost of encouragement and let her know she was loved. I'll pull one from the bouquet this evening for my second entry.
There are some amazing shots in this challenge. My poor little pics aren't worthy to be next to them..lol

WE'RE VOTING!!
Now is the time to vote so please choose
TEN (10)!!
Enjoy!
You might leave a message in a post saying you've voted if you'd like!
I voted. Had to cross off more than I kept! :ticked:
The quality of all the photos is breath taking, color, composition and detail! I voted but 'twas difficult to select only 10. :-\
Boy, you sure got that right, Tisie! That is the biggest challange of all .... voting for just 10! :-\
Yup, I voted.
I'm going to have a hard time with this...
Hi Everyone and
My warm greetings
to all who submitted their best flower shots.
My top ten choices are in.
All the flowers are beautiful, but I based my selection
on artistry and photographic presentation.
(composition, contrast, lighting, texture and colors)
May the best shots win.
Laughing Peppers
PAT ONLY TEN!!!! REALLY!!
This was difficult! You could publish a book with all these entries! They are so beautiful and there are some very creative ideas for something a simple as flowers. You all are such a talented group. Just looking through all of these is a delight. They need to hang in the waiting room in the faculty clinic where I am employed (Department of Psychiatry at a medical school). Our patients would definitely benefit.
I voted. (I could have easily selected 20 though...so many great shots this time!)
well, I voted, but I think the most common saying in my vocabulary was, "How could I leave THAT out?!"
I will vote later today. It is just so hard to choose,
I voted, but it wasn't easy to pick only 10. There were so many beautiful photos to choose from; a great challenge.
I haven't voted yet, I'm in elimination mode and it ain't easy choosing either.
Don
Yes.  I have voted. I used the process of elimination. That narrowed it down to about 50 entries. :roflBig: :roflBig: Then I narrowed it down further my choosing the ones that had the best looking Mug Shots. That eliminated me. :anon: :anon:By that time I was sleepy  So, I woke up refreshed and voted on the wrong Challenge. Now, down to the real stuff. Like most of you, I left out 10 or more selections that I could have just as easily voted for. It's been a great Challenge thanks to Pat.

When I saw those two submissions, I knew they was going to be 1st and 2nd. I was only wrong in thinking the lotus would be first.
Congratulations, Kevin, first class work!
Congratulations Kevin, Pixel and Pat.
Four great images for sure.

Thank you for all the kudos, folks! I love your two photos, "Kebin" and Pixel, what a wonderful series you posted. You sound like a husband who really loves his wife and that's just so refreshing!
Now, "Kev", we await your new subject!
I am very honored to have won with my flowers. Flag Iris and Lotus are special flowers, and a challenge to shoot.
However, since yesterday, I have been down with a lousy cold and have been in bed since. Prayers are appreciated and will think about a new challenge topic as soon as I recover :-[
Again, thanks for all who voted, and CONGRATULATIONS to all who entered. There were so many nice images.
